And right on cue, these two solid academics who have earned more of my ear time, have an interesting conversation about some of the system's tried and true propaganda tactics.
I had special appreciation for Pascal's half joking idea that the new official Russian line should be that 2+2=4. In order for the narrative spinners to label those who happen to agree with that "Putin Puppets", they must argue that 2+2 must = something else. Maybe 5 as Orwell put it?
Anyway IMO, it's a sad commentary on where we in the west find ourselves these days - psychologically speaking.

Glenn Eric Andre Diesen is a Norwegian political scientist. He is a professor at the University of South-Eastern Norway. He is a regular commentator on the Russian state-controlled international news television network RT. Academics as well as Scandinavian media have criticized him for promoting Russian propaganda.
Thing is, Russian propaganda is no better than U.S. propaganda

When I see posts like this -
I think of this -
Literally, all the world's a stage. The people are real, the events are real; but from exploding pagers, color revolutions, culture wars and beyond, manipulation of vast numbers of people to act as one, toward a predetermined end, has transcended the world wide battlefield for continued empire supremacy.
Every one of us a potential weapon, a Mr. Smith, eager to be of unwitting service to the machine.

Hey Fred,
I've been trying to post a twitter video : Rupar ...
Initially appeared on Fox News.
It regards Ryan Zinke of the GOP and his comment regarding Ukraine's willingness and readiness to join NATO. I was curious about your opinion? How about posting it, so people can see it and possibly respond.

That's about right for the nature of western "logic":
So this depicts one such version of the classic double bind people unwittingly get themselves into, when parroting Big Brother's ridiculous narratives, rather than thinking things through for themselves and coming up with their own conclusions. How the hell do you realistically defend that if challenged?
There's about to be a secondary double bind people are about to fall prey to. What's every partisan hack in my country, "The Resistance" so to speak, going to do when what their heroes Biden/Harris were doing for Israel was so great, when "Bad Orange Man" steps in and continues it. Maybe even pushing for "The Final Solution" to be wrapped up sooner. Does the "good" genocide, the miraculously become the "bad" genocide because Trump bad?
That's going to be interesting to watch here soon, how the Never Trump/Resistance media instructs us on how to think about such things from their black and white, good guy vs. bad guy mentality.

There is still a basic difference here. Self-serving means "I" versus Globally established protocols that require "us" to follow through with longstanding agreements. It doesn't make it right by any stretch but it does limit rights and ability to intervene. And it is a painful reality.
