I've just listened to it again, but I didn't hear anything rattly.
That said, I'm never been a fan of the 490R/498T pickups Gibson puts in the Les Paul Studio. They're too muddy-sounding for my taste. My favorite Gibson pickup is the Burstbucker Pro, immediately followed by the '57 Classic. Both of those are PAF-style pickups — slightly underwound, with lots of clarity and string-to-string articulation.
But that said, I absolutely love the Duncan Distortions in my own Les Paul. I don't know what they would sound like in another type of guitar, but in my Les Paul, it's a match made in heaven.![]()
