If you want to understand where China is coming from and where it's intending to go with Xi's leadership.

Okay. So I watched the whole thing, waiting for the dire warnings of how incredibly dangerous China is, and they never came. Has something changed since this recent exchange?

Do you really want China to be our overlords if and when US leaves a huge power vacuum in the near future after you've had your civil war? China is the worst imaginable candidate for those of us who value democracy and freedom. Russia isn't that far from China with it's fascist dictatorship. China is openly communist state, Russia is dictatorship, kleptocracy ruled by a mob boss and his fellow cronies.

They aim to take over the world, that surely has not changed. They're playing the long game, Freddy.

    Based on what?

You just showed a video demonstrating nothing of the sort. China has no history of seeking world domination, Xi Jinping currently demonstrates no designs on world domination, nor does their current trajectory which matches their rhetoric.

But you're just gonna say so anyway. That's *precisely* what Western propaganda does.

But again, it's a non answer.

Same thing, non answer with a hint of arrogant insult for good measure. There's definitely a pattern here.

After seeing much of this up and coming phenomena not only here, but X and Facebook and watching it more closely lately, I no longer wonder whether the arrogant non answers are because the poster is either unwilling to answer, or unable to answer.

The verdict is in, and it's almost always because the person is unable... to articulate their position in a reasoned manner.

The Zionists are by far and away the largest group of repeat offenders, followed by the modern day McCarthyites in a solid second place, with the Bomb Bomb Bomb Iran brigade bringing up a solid third. China should be right up there, but because the msm hasn't been keying on it yet (but oh they will in time), it's not really on most radars yet.

Another thing I've noticed is that whatever the given subject, it's always the ones toting the msm company line narratives that are indeed unable to articulate their positions in a reasonable manner. The one who question msm narratives, or challenge them based on evidence, are more than happy to share. My theory is that neither mainstream media, nor the associated politicians we see strutting the world stage every day, are able to do it.

None of the daily barrage of propaganda stories can withstand scrutiny, nor can the utterly ridiculous things the politicians say; but what they *can do* and quite effectively so, is both not answer the simple question, while denigrating the intelligence of the person who dares break protocol by asking it. The arrogance disguises the bumper sticker depth of this new shallow anti-intellectualism.

It's really very simple though once boiled down to bare essence:

Those who can answer do - Those who can't answer don't.

I do listen to multiple news sources and found wonderfully a sane presentation on the hot topic of Russia's new missile.

Here on CBS, no name calling even though Russia and North Korea get discussed towards the end.

BTW, I give WWlll a low probability. All sectors need to calm the rhetoric. Nuclear war is insane and there are still people, especially in the military, who know this.

Russia's latest missile is kinda saying that our conventional weapons are sufficient to the job, no nukes required.

But, they make sure the crazy people have to think about it.

Fred, it isn't a matter of articulation...People have different sets of knowledge and different ways of wearing it. Not everyone is willing to point out your intellectual bias while smashing your limitations into your snout. And you always pounce on those personalities. To put it into the vernacular, you are very manipulative, passive-aggressive and just plain mean. Some people are offended by your style and others just find it annoying. And then there are others who find it infuriating (that be me).

When I was in school a professor asked the class to prove 1 + 1 = 2. One guy was just confounded and asked why when it was so obvious. Clang - wrong answer. Everyone else was quiet but it was a matter of using mathematical axioms to 'demonstrate' the nature of counting numbers. I don't really know what my point is but I will give you the opportunity to prove it.

MIRVs have been around for many decades...usually nuke-tipped. Putin should just give it up...all out war is all out destruction for Russia.

He's too psychopathic to "give up" until he drops dead. The question is how many people that sucker wants to take with him.

Here's another thing. I'm old enough to remember how things were back in the 80's, and even the thought of a nuclear exchange with the then Soviet Union, was a terrifying thought to rational people - which was the vast majority of us. And that was a good thing, a healthy attitude, like exercising caution as to not step out in front of a bus. The Cuban Missile Crisis was only about as far in the rearview mirror at that time as 9/11 is for us today.

It was just generally accepted as axiomatic that we do everything we could to avoid even the potential of a misunderstanding, our enemy felt the same way they love their children too - the leaders of both sides talked regularly, major arms control agreements were struck, sturdy guardrails were put into place to keep any stray event on the straight and narrow. The two Cold Warriors found a way to live in peace side by side with one another, it worked, and these were the neocons of the day that did this on our side!

Then came the early 90's, Gorbachev decided to stand down and call it a day. It was not a defeat, although of course that's the way the West took it, it was more "let's just wind all this down and reset".

Drunk on the intoxicant of being the only great power left standing, the unipole, the West has spent the last 30 years solidifying its position as rulers of the universe. Because we became to powerful and unassailable, especially after the resounding display of unmatched military and technological prowess of the first Gulf War against Iraq. Eventually even basics like polite diplomatic relations atrophied, and died, essentially replaced by "Do As We Say Or Else!", and that's where we still stand today.

    Only one problem:

The rest of the world was slowly catching up during this time, smart technology spread. It's easy to forget that the very foundations of this vast sprawling US led Rules Based International Order were built upon the ruins of WW2. There was no competition other than the Soviet Union.

Today there stands not just one super power, but three great powers with more in the on deck circle. The unipole moment is over, a new multipolar world has not just been born, it's now rapidly growing into a young gangly teenager eager to go out and spread those wings without fear of Big Daddy. And this is what the big fight is today. Big Daddy liked the way things were when he could just crack that whip and make things happen, he still cannot believe his eyes that not only has that glory slipped through his fingers, it's gone forever.

But in his supreme arrogance and narcissistic self image he just can't accept that. He will never accept that. Only problem is the more he scrambles to get it back, the farther it slips off into the distance. The more the rest of the world (the peasantry) sees Big Daddy trying to drag them back home to the plantation, the more grimly determined they become to gather in unison against a common enemy. It could be looked at like the semi grown children in the household of a violent alcoholic father, teaming up to restrain him from beating them and their mother any more. *They've had enough, and they'd just as soon die as go back to the old ways. It's over*.

So this is where we are. The US and her loyal vassals equal around 1 billion souls (The Golden Billion), but many of these souls have been taught to lose that healthy fear and respect of another devastating World War. "It can't happen any more, and if it did, it would just be *them* that gets obliterated". And that's exactly what's needed, a favorable public opinion of people dutifully ignorant of objective reality, to keep this train a 'rollin without an eruption of mass protests the likes of which we also had back in the 80's. Can't have that shit, and we don't. Propaganda really does work, and it especially works on those who don't believe there's any propaganda aimed at them.

"We're good/They're bad", that's about all we need to know.

    In Summation:

Big Daddy could end it all right now just by reading the room so to speak, understanding objective reality, and become another nation at the big table with the other 6 billion souls; albeit a still extremely powerful and influential nation. The world would welcome this, they would rejoice and celebrate a new Golden Age of prosperity and opportunity for all, but it's not going to happen because that's not what Big Daddy is all about.

Because as in the classic movie Highlander - There Can Be Only One.

Big Daddy will bring an end to history before he'll *willingly*, and willingly is the key word, join that table.

And that's the sad tragic truth of our time. We are the bad guys...
