Well, it's almost hard to see how things cannot escalate. Israel directly mirrors the tried and true US tactic of initial provocation, which Western media in general either excuses or ignores, and if/when the retaliation comes rolling around, the little war piggies right on cue squeal in protest of the "unprovoked attack", and how it must be answered decisively.

Surprisingly actually this time western media said that it was a revenge attack due to Israel's attack on the embassy.

IMO one of the main reasons Israel whacked these high level Iranian targets in their Damascus embassy, was hoping for said response. That it would trigger US neocon establishment into dragging the US into a wider regional war to both finally vanquish its enemies, and in doing so help pave the way to the long dreamed of "Greater Israel".

They can say bye bye to those dreams about a Greater Israel if the whole place is rendered into rubble too.

Bibi has gone fully bonkers, I just don't know if he and his government would be mad enough to use tactical nukes.

Hopefully cooler heads will prevail. Biden of course is in Israel's pocket like most Democraps and ALL Rebuplicants are.

We shall see; but again, with the passing of even each week, I "see" the feverish insanity of the collective West taking deeper root. It no longer matters what the people say, and it never mattered what the rest of the world (those animals outside of the garden) say.

So as we insist on causing the odds of kicking off something nobody wants to rise, people like Retired Colonel Daniel Davis, unlike these two US Senators here, offer good, objective, by the numbers analysis.

He's not pro Russia either. I watched him and Professor John Mearsheimer teamed up in a debate at the Council on Foreign Relations recently where he was asked if he thought Ukraine actually had a chance to gain any ground back in this war, would he continue arguing against sending further aid and weapons. He answered absolutely not, that he would in fact argue for it. His takes on these matters are truly objective. His argument is essentially that the longer this war goes on the more Ukrainians are going to die, the more devastation they're going to suffer, and the more land they're going to lose.

That if they took to the negotiating table right now, they could salvage some semblance of their country in order to begin rebuilding, but to continue on will only lead to ruin, and eventual terms of surrender. Their best bet is to stop right now in order to stop the bleeding.

These senators want the bleeding to continue. As Sen. Lindsay Graham infamously has said "to the last Ukrainian", and that's exactly the direction they're heading, which in 20/20 hindsight will be obvious just like the reasons for the invasion of Iraq.

Ukraine has invaded Russia and pushed at least 10km deep into Russia's Kursk region, breaking through their first two lines of defense. Russian conscripts assigned to guard the area are surrendering in mass and Russia is taking heavy losses. Putin is at a loss to explain to his people how this is possible.
