Politics, Conspiracy, Transparent Nonsense or a vacuity to be filled in by the perceiver
My daily cancel culture email: Please take note that every other word is an exercise in hypocrisy, neural-linguistic and memic programming (Memic was also Miss Turkey of 2010). It is disgusting beyond words, essentially verbal defecation. This organization should be canceled.
Hi Vyexules,
Despite what the Biden administration and Democrats in Congress may say, what’s happening at the border is a CRISIS. This is not some humanitarian effort.
What the left is doing at the border is inhumane, dangerous, and cruel. What they’re doing is horrifying. What they’re doing is unsafe… and unspeakable… considering we are in the midst of a global pandemic.
Speak up for SAFE borders: Demand COVID-19 testing at the border.
According to Politico, “The federal government does not have a centralized system for tracking or responding to Covid-19 cases among the surge of migrants crossing the United States’ southern border, according to interviews with six senior administration officials and multiple individuals tasked with responding to the influx.”
THIS SITUATION AT THE SOUTHERN BORDER IS A CRISIS OF EPIC PROPORTIONS:
• There is no central tracking system for COVID-19 cases and very little testing is being done
• Migrants are not required to show proof of vaccines or COVID-19 testing
• They’re being shoved in pens in incredibly close quarters with very little ventilation
• Children are having to take turns sleeping on the floor because there’s not enough room for them all to lay down
• The majority of migrants are making the journey with the help of cartel members, smugglers, and human traffickers, which alone is dangerous and traumatic
• Border patrol is completely overwhelmed by the large influx at the border, leading President Biden to deploy FEMA to help (which takes away resources from any domestic disasters that may occur), and to ask for volunteers from different government agencies (many of whom do not have the skills, experience, or training needed to handle this crisis)
• Biden’s appointed border czar, Vice President Kamala Harris, has yet to visit the border... and LAUGHED when asked when she would
• The Biden administration is BLOCKING press access to the area (which itself would have been a crisis if this was the last administration)
Speak up for SAFE borders: Sign our Safe Borders petition today.
Thanks,

The ethics of exposing bad behaviour
Hey everyone, David here. This is an update on the latest chapter of the Grift that Keeps on Giving, the story of Brian Rose and London Real, and his current last-ditch attempt to be elected London Mayor. It's a story that I stumbled on last summer when he interviewed David Icke, and then raised $1m for a 'Digital Freedom Platform' in a scam conducted in the name of defending free speech.
Now he's claiming to be running in second place for Mayor of London. It's an amazing story that touches on so many of the essential questions of the day, sensemaking & journalism, how our current system creates opportunities for bad behaviour, the 'sociopathic niche', and how we close that niche is an existential one. Also, the current legacy media just couldn't seem to cover the story properly, basically boosting Rose's campaign. Rebel Wisdom just released two films, one going through the backstory with the scam detective Coffeezilla, and an interview with the man who co-founded and co-hosted London Real, Nic Gabriel, who everyone has wanted to hear from since the beginning of this saga. I first connected with Nic a year ago and we decided the time wasn't right to put out an interview about Brian, however, him running for London Mayor changes the calculation. I also just wrote a piece looking at the backstory, the issues it raises about journalistic ethics and other topics, I'll post that below.
In other news, we are launching a new online course together with Peter Limberg of the Stoa, called 'Becoming a Live Player'. It draws on some of the best ideas and practices that we've come across since the start of Rebel Wisdom & the Stoa, to map the cultural landscape, to improve reasoning and practice novelty.
In this film with scambuster Coffeezilla, we tell the backstory of Brian Rose's run for mayor, and how he has tried to avoid questions and accountability for his previous scams, and how he weaponises values like free speech.
Nic Gabriel set up London Real with Brian Rose, until one day he simply vanished. He has never spoken out about what happened until now. He explains what happened, what he thinks about Rose, and why he believes he "must be stopped".
This is extracted from my recent Medium piece on the Brian Rose saga: "Also a few Rebel Wisdom viewers are, quite understandably, asking why? Why spend so much time on this guy, this story? What does it have to do with the main topics covered by Rebel Wisdom, the crisis of sensemaking, philosophy, ideas, collective intelligence, developmental thinking, and the rest. Hasn’t this become somewhat personal? These are all good questions, that I hope to answer here. In brief, I think that the Rose story actually touches on all of the key topics that Rebel Wisdom has covered since the beginning, and is in fact a perfect case study in nearly all of the self-terminating dynamics of our current system.
For a start, the crisis in sensemaking and the decline in journalism. I decided to return to the Brian Rose story after a recent piece for The Times ‘Brian Rose, the American who wants to be London mayor’, that failed to reveal any of the backstory, and apart from some vague handwaving about David Icke and conspiracy, was effectively a PR win for Rose (subhead: “The boxing, breakdancing former Wall Street banker is buff, but is he really fit to be the next mayor of London?”). It was borderline journalistic malpractice in that it didn’t mention the scandal of the ‘Digital Freedom Platform’, or any of the other controversies Brian is trailing behind him. A simple cuttings search (journalism 101) would have at least revealed the Vice article ‘The YouTuber Accused of Using Coronavirus to Scam His Followers’, even if the reporter didn’t find the 28 scathing reviews on Scamguard and elsewhere. So I realised that we couldn’t trust the legacy media to do its job in holding Brian to account.
I’m trying to be acutely aware of the dividing line between necessary exposure and where that drifts into exploitation, what some have called ‘outrage porn’. There is no clear and obvious division between the two, except on some level a felt sense of when we are getting vicarious thrills from the topic, and that more discussion has no obvious purpose. I felt that the coverage of Brian Rose and London Real was getting close to that point at the end of last summer. I actually pulled out of a writing commission for Wired magazine as I didn’t want to continue to boost Brian’s signal as he was clearly enjoying the notoriety.
As for the deeper topics raised by this story, along with all the folks feeling they were scammed out of money by his courses and the Digital Freedom Platform, and the multiple former employees, I’ve also heard a lot from people who’ve been burned by people like Rose, and are trying to understand what happened. So going forward, I’m interested to look at narcissism, how it plays out in relationships and society, and why we are vulnerable to it. And from a civilisational point of view, how much of the dysfunction of the current system is due to is rewarding sociopathy at the highest levels of business and politics? Many of the folks wrestling hardest with civilisational threat pay close attention to the question of “closing the sociopathic niche”. Arguably it’s a niche that opens up whenever a society scales to the point where bad behaviour is not punished or called out, as it would have been in a close knit community or tribe. Once people have the opportunity to exploit and burn others and then move on to find new victims, it becomes a successful evolutionary strategy. I covered this on the previous film, London Real and How Societies Collapse."
It's with an appreciation of a sense of irony that I pivot to telling you about the launch of our new course. 'Becoming a Live Player' launches on May 13th, with Peter Limberg & David Fuller, and guest faculty including John Vervaeke, and up to a dozen more top practitioners and facilitators from the worlds of embodiment, self-development and relationship skills. As we say in the course description: "We need to play a new game, and to play it we need new players. In a world increasingly run by people and institutions following rigid scripts and uninspired stories, we need to learn how to become a “live player”. In this course you will playfully develop capacities to help navigate our uncertain times, communicate across political divides, and authentically co-create a new world with a sense of aliveness."
We'd love to see you there,
Until next time.

Today's offering:
Hi Vyexules,
I wanted to share some interesting developments with you regarding the PRO Act.
Amazon Vote
Last week, Amazon workers at an Alabama warehouse rejected unionizing. The vote was significant: nearly 3 out of 4 Amazon workers voted AGAINST unionizing, a clear rebuke of what the unions claim to offer.
Some factors played a role in this decision: the pay at Amazon is double the state’s minimum wage, Amazon provides benefits like health insurance, and there’s great availability of jobs, especially during the pandemic.
Plus, union dues leave workers with less of their own money and no guarantees of better outcomes. And they often force union members to support causes and candidates they may oppose.
This will have huge implications on efforts to unionize other Amazon warehouses and retailers… and it spells trouble for the far left’s aggressive pro-union campaign, particularly the PRO Act.
"The PRO Act, which is also supported by the same union bosses seeking to organize businesses across the country, would hurt small businesses as they struggle to survive during the pandemic and strip employees of their privacy and vital rights to make a choice on their own if they want to join a union.”

POLITICAL HANGOVER
Every Problem, All At Once
We've got a who's who of existential crises facing our nation this week. We've got a double-shot of police violence, overblown problems with our single-shot vaccine, and a last ditch effort to figure out wtf is going on at the border. Oh, and a smidge of abortion news to round things all out. It's like an American crisis party sampler!
When was the last time you had an "accident" at work that killed someone, and were you allowed to keep your job? According to Police Chief Tim Gannon of the Brooklyn Center Police Department, the fatal shooting of 20-year-old Daunte Wright during a traffic stop was due to highly experienced officer Kim Potter (now on administrative leave - classic) mistaking her gun for a taser and "accidentally" shooting him. Seriously. This is what they are saying. Hundreds of protesters gathered despite a 7pm curfew yesterday to call bullshit on that load of bullshit, and to demand justice for Wright and further action on police violence. Because "oops I mixed my taser up with a gun and took a human life" is not actually a great argument for keeping the police force as it is. Read more and click here to donate to a GoFundMe for Daunte's family.
And now for the other reckoning on police brutality against Black bodies that is occurring in Minneapolis: The third week of the Derek Chauvin trial began yesterday with testimony from Philonise Floyd, George Floyd's brother, who shared stories about George's life, character, and love of video games. Jurors also heard from cardiologist Dr. Johnathan Rich, who called Floyd's death "absolutely preventable," and use of force expert Seth Stoughton who detailed the ways in which officers mishandled Floyd's arrest. Today the prosecution rests and the defense calls its first witness. Make sure you have a couple hundred stress balls handy. Read more.
ONE THING TO MENTION ON A DATE
"Did you hear? Harvey Weinstein is apparently 'nearly blind' and has lost four teeth in prison. Looks like he's got a bad case of The Consequences Of My Own Actions. "
Okay so don't freak out. There is literally no point in freaking out. The FDA and the CDC are pausing use of the Johnson & Johnson vaccine while they investigate six cases where recipients were diagnosed with blood clots within weeks of vaccination. Again, this is just six women out 7 million -- less than one in a million -- so don't go chopping your arm off just yet. (Especially if you take hormonal birth control pills, which have put you at a 1 in 1000 risk of blood clots for years.) The officials say the pause is to inform the medical community of the nature of the rare clotting risk so they can be prepared to identify and properly treat any additional cases. FDA Director Dr. Peter Marks said the move is out of "an abundance of caution" and called the clotting "extremely rare." The panic induced by this announcement, however, is a pandemic onto itself.
"I kind of feel like this is one of those pandemic-era things that should stick around. Like vigorous hand washing and staying the fuck away from me."
Time to check in on the crisis on the border. The Biden administration put together an agreement with Mexico, Honduras, and Guatemala to help tighten their borders to discourage migration to the United States. This comes as the Biden administration is struggling to safely accommodate unaccompanied minors at the border, who then end up in those border detention facilities we should all definitely still be mad about even though Trump is gone. Just saying. Read more.
Here's why it helps to have a pro-choice president. The Biden administration lifted a ban on abortions-via-telemedicine for the remainder of the pandemic. Until now, an FDA rule mandated that one of the drugs typically involved in medication abortion be dispensed in person. This forced many to travel sometimes long distances to a clinic despite the fact that the meds can be safely administered at home. So far the ban is only lifted through the end of the pandemic, but I kind of feel like this is one of those pandemic-era things that should stick around. Like vigorous hand washing and staying the fuck away from me.

Today's Offering:
Hi Vyexules,
It’s ironic that during last month, Women’s History Month, the Biden administration and Democrat-led Congress tried to ram through some of the most anti-women legislation in history.
NOTICE
For: Vyexules
Investment Opportunity: Take Back Our Country Fund
Deadline:
TONIGHT by MIDNIGHT
The so-called Equality Act, which recently passed the House, changes the definition of “sex” under federal law to mean “gender identity,” a broad and undefined category that swallows legal protections for females.
Congress is also trying to revive the outdated Equal Rights Amendment… an amendment that failed to pass 40 years ago. The misnamed ERA would require that the government treat women and men the same, irrespective of circumstances.
It’s outdated and unnecessary. Our Constitution and numerous state and federal statutes already prohibit sex discrimination.
Rather than trying to expand opportunities, freedom, and choices for women, at a time when we need them most, the left is stifling and restricting them.
This is the REAL War on Women… and it’s coming from the hypocritical left.
That’s why it is so important that Independent Women’s Forum has your financial support before our important deadline TONIGHT at midnight.
It is the only way we can adequately counter and combat the REAL War on Women. Let’s work together to advance freedom, opportunity, and well-being for ALL women.
It starts right here, with Independent Women’s Forum leading the way.
Invest today before tonight’s important deadline.
Thanks,
Carrie Lukas
