    Indeed, Wind.

This episode is about hikikomori which was discussed on Gio's thread, All Down the Line. (last year, I believe)

(I went with Dr. Grande's approach of referring to it as a condition)

I guess their relationship got the blue screen of death. Dr. Grande has some great jokes here!

A failed system, mental illness and AR-15 sure will cause some serious collateral damage.

Actually, he didn't say that, but it was added to the movie so as to make Mel Gibson look more heroic.

Why they dress up a psychotic in red is not wise...is it? Why not pink.

Several Swiss prisons have painted their jail cells in a color called “Cool Down Pink” as a way to curb prisoners’ aggressive behavior and even though the measure was adopted by other European countries in recent years, there are those who find the measure degrading and manipulative.

It’s a known fact that colors have a significant influence on our mood. It is said that red can stimulate our appetite, which is why you’re more likely to see it used in restaurants, as opposed to blue, which apparently suppresses the appetite. Every color is associated with various emotions which as a whole can influence our moods. For example, pink is usually associated with happiness and compassion, but also weakness and femininity. And that’s what makes it so controversial. Psychologists have long argued that it can have a calming effect on people, but using it in the penal system has also been described as humiliating, gender stereotyping and manipulative.
Why not if it is that bad in the first place.

The motivation behind the color scheme should be well explained and put on a plaque at the front door. Motivation really is the difference between right and wrong. In my opinion.

If pink is supposed to be calming but it's angering people then the desired results are not being achieved.

I would think blues and aquas would be calming. With a little purple mixed in. I'm not knowledgeable about this.

Dr. Grande makes the point several times that there were many serious warning signs regarding Cruz which were not acted upon. One of our biggest problems here is an apparent inability to deal with the mental health issues which drive so many to violence.

In a nation with more guns than citizens, we really need to be way more on the ball when it comes to mental health.

A friend of mine is a Seneca. He's talked to me about how they set up a sweat. It's a ritual, a sacred process from start to finish. The personal spiritual process is not directed by any guru. (and they keep their clothes on)

When gurus come in and cause the death of others, it's not a sweat. It's a dangerous scam.

Whether it's a guru or a fake leader, blindly following another human seems to be a pretty dumb choice which can lead to injury, insurrection, and even death.

Since you mentioned fake gurus, have you ever heard about Bentinho Massaro? He's a young guy in his early 30's, who is on a narcissistic trip. He was in Sedona, Arizona, but due to controversy he fled and now he just hypnotizes people elsewhere. He has the charisma of a psychopath, I see exactly what his soul is and I don't like what I see. These people are all about themselves, but their words can be so convincing. I hope Dr. Grande makes a video about him too, perhaps we can manifest that outcome?

What is it with these maniacs and their names, Ethan Couch, Dylann Roof? Who's next, Joe Garage?

I went to school with a guy that was the all american kid ... his dad owned a construction company ... he was the kind of kid that during school breaks would make the skiing circuit. Very good looking tall intelligent, Strawberry Blond hair ... blue eyes. He had it all. And he was a very nice guy. He got into a fight with his girlfriend over the phone, he was in the university town which was about 20 miles from where his girlfriend lived in a nearby city ... Clovis New Mexico. I looked but couldn't find a thing. He had a chance of spending his life in jail for the crime. He was granted the ability to go about giving lectures/seminars on his crime to deter youth from repeating his mistake. The local communities were somewhat outraged. He had been traveling over 100 miles per hour when he slammed into and sliced completely through a car filled with 7 black kids and 3 adults that had been attending an anti-drug campaign. His defense was that while working a summer job for his dad he got hit on the head with a brick and suffered brain damage. Perhaps that's true but he was getting better grades than me in our math classes. But then I had other problems at the time (of the female kind) ... perhaps it wasn't so different on 2nd thought.
