Vulnerable narcissism? When SK's experience a 'cooling off' period, it is mostly because they are in a state of satisfaction. Grande did mention the 'pleasure' factor of the murders which is the usual predominant factor. Afternoon murders? The best way of relaxing (actually blowing off steam) after a hard day's work is by murdering someone, of course.

Unless you like the smell of napalm in the morning ─ you know, as a kickstarter.

But then again, Jack the Ripper preferred to operate after dark, albeit that this might have had something to do with his preferred prey.

As far as I'm concerned, the responsibility entirely lies with the armorers. They are supposed to make sure that (1) the weapon is unloaded, and that (2) the barrel is empty, because the situation that killed Brandon Lee is not uncommon. It is known as "a dud" among shooters, and it often happens among people who recycle and load their own cartridges. If another live round were to be fired while there's already a bullet lodged in the barrel, then the weapon will more often than not explode and either maim or kill the shooter.

Now that I'm thinking about it, it seems I might have had a dream about that. My nephew being careless with a pistol. That is sh*t one just doesn't do. I remember hunting with a friend and his younger brother and as I was about to fire, the younger brother stood up from a crouch right in front of me. That left a lasting impression. I had a neighborhood acquaintance accidentally kill himself with a shotgun while hunting. Another acquaintance purposefully stuck a shotgun in his mouth, I knew him pretty well. It was shocking. Don't Mess with Firearm Safety!

Fill-ins and corner cutting are also factors. There were already problems with prop guns. There's supposed to be a multi-layered system to protect the set and crew when a gun or candle or any potentially dangerous thing is in use.

Remove too many layers and the protection doesn't work.

Anxiety? I think it is possible that there have been some weapons affecting them, but it is hard to say for sure. The question is why?

I'm inclined to go with general anxiety disorder. It was happening all over the planet, but only to US American diplomats. Come on!
