Yes ...
Creative Narratives: The Bible comes to mind as a great example of this human psychological phenomenon. Perhaps what we tell ourselves about the world and life shapes who and what we really are.

This may interest some and then maybe not.
My 'legal' birth certificate shows my adoptive parents as 'parents'. I never actually knew my true birthdate until I was 9 or 10. My birth city and state were Sioux City, Iowa and lived there probably long enough for my bio mother to get out of the hospital and travel back home which was a state away. I was brought up 'Mexican', yet Mexican forms a fifth of my genetic heritage while 4/5ths is 'European'. 'White' is standard designation for any non-Asians or African origins. My first thought was that someone with an 'agenda' was trying to discredit the 'intent/sentiment' portrayed by St. Marie. El Grande failed to make the obvious connection that the dehumanization of 'Italians' in their community which led to the 'St. Marie' name in the first case could have led to a lifetime confusion of what identity meant, if in fact, it is all true. I know he has a limited time to present his 'arguments' but he's is a halfwit conservative living out his halfwit dream.
Remember that old commercial with that Native American with the tear in his eye about the trashing of America. My older brother was in a 'biker' gang ... really club that said that actor rode with them and was REALLY a Native American. Apparently that's not true, his mother claimed that he was Italian... It's anybody's guess, I suppose.
On a funny side note, my daughter sent me a text yesterday telling me she was part of the Paramedic crew handling the Lone Star State Bike Rally in Galveston Texas...she said if she hears any gunshots she is just going to run...I told her to run like the wind.

I saw this the other night...I think it was a case of "Overkilling a Mockingbird". I was surprised once when a nun suggested I read that book saying you might not understand all of the implications but you should read it. So, I did. What was unusual and surprised me a bit was that this nun was from the deep south, mean as hell and referred to black people as "niggeroes". That was the way she pronounced it and I truly don't thing she knew any better. El Grande did his usual 'just like the other side' schtick when comparing the right and the left.

This guy is creepy and nuts. Materialists like this don't see past their mortal human shell, what a shame.

I'm only posting this for Chuckie's amusement. I doubt they'll show any skeletons in their closets.

As a teen I used to watch the MTV reality series about Hogan's family life. Also the Osbournes family.

A rather prosaic showing...the only even slightly alarming part of that is the 82 in a 45, that has the potential for catastrophe. On the open ordinary interstate, I've never hit a dangerous speed that I recall, I can say it is not unusual for me to get to 110, maybe once 115 (late for work) ... I did get a ticket once for 82 in a 55 but that was a speed trap and was subject to immediate arrest. My sister-in-law had a baby that day in another city and it was Superbowl day (I was in a hurry to get home). It might sound irresponsible but I always try to drive safely and be constantly aware...most of the time anyway. When I was younger though drinking the same was not true...sometimes when I think back on it, it still scares the hell out of me.
