    IMO, the second wave is proof that viruses like Covid and the Spanish flu have second waves. And third waves. And more.

    If we're smart enough we can learn from our past and do better each time.

    Or we can just cop out and blame the government.

    Governments are always limited in what they can accomplish, even in authoritarian structures.

    For everyone living in a non-authoritarian state, it's up to them as much as it is the government to be responsible.

    Since our leadership here in the US deliberately effed up the response to Covid-19, the success we've had here in America, such as it is, is due to the people, not the government. The government may deserve some blame but we have enough wiggle room to do the right thing anyway. We're not automatons.

    When people just knee-jerk blame the government, they're failing to take any responsibility themselves. IMHO.

    Yeah, on 27 July, France had 514 cases of Covid
    Victoria (a state here in Australia) had 532 cases with the majority of those being in their capital city so far higher population density.
    16 October, France had 25,086 cases and Victoria had 2
    17 October, Victoria had 1.

    Seems lockdowns work...
