If i remember correctly prokaryotes are pre oxygen, eukaryotes came later with the oxygenation of Earth's atmosphere and started what we know as 'evolution' This is pretty out there and a bit 'scary' but coming from the wonderful Anton, a serious scientist, it is worth watching.
Note what struck me: one must die for the other to live ... a major problem in the natural world. Those damn evil viruses.
