This one seems strange to me but is surprisingly good ... scifi drama not scifi action. I realized that is the difference from American movie making:

It has even got a 10-year old serial killer in it ... before he died and after the volcano spit him out. Some weird stuff going on. It has some very interesting undercurrents going on interleaved with the main plot.

This movie is loosely based on the cult leader L. Ron Hubbard.

I've been watching this lately, it's a derivation of the 4400: Some of the characters are not engaging and one totally p*sses me off. A Hispanic lady who always makes me wish I could slap her ...

This is super cool: I thought Philip K. Dick was a writer in the 20's and 30's ... last century ...

Philip Kindred Dick (December 16, 1928 – March 2, 1982) was an American science fiction writer. He wrote 44 novels and about 121 short stories, most of which appeared in science fiction magazines during his lifetime.

I read these books. But I don't recall them well, clearly. This looks really good. I'm liking the cast.

Haven't read them, but I'm always up for some good scifi. Sneaky Apple...

They were Asimov's crowning glory ... It's been many years since I read them but what I remember is the 'formula' to understand and predict human behavior ... I don't think it worked out very well ... random (even quantum) fluctuations blows a big hole in any predictability ...

I watched this last night ... it was so stupid I liked it. They had a quasi-Alex Jones character in it ... I really wondered if I could make it through the entire movie. Mercifully, the character played a limited role. It had a lot of disguised social commentary going on which made it bearably interesting ...
