    The movie trailer thread

I thought it might be a better idea to create a thread just for movie trailers. Now this is a sci-fi movie that I'm truly looking forward to. Never seen the Lynch version. Haven't read the book(s) yet, but I know the famous lines. Astonishing writing from Frank Herbert.

"There is no real ending. It’s just the place where you stop the story."

"The mystery of life isn't a problem to solve, but a reality to experience."

"Without change, something sleeps inside us, and seldom awakens. The sleeper must awaken."

"Deep in the human unconscious is a pervasive need for a logical universe that makes sense. But the real universe is always one step beyond logic."

"I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain."

I never enjoyed Frank Herbert's writing style and I liked the Lynch version of the movie even less. Though, the concepts are really really interesting. This should be good ... a combination of Tremors and Start Wars ... looks epic

cool, it will be good. Oh, 1984 version

Hans Zimmer, whoever that is, is getting music credit for 2020

the music sounds a lot like the theme music from the German made series I watched awhile back. "Dark"

Apparently 'Apparat' the composer/s of the Dark theme has a style similar to Hans Zimmer:

    Excerpt from an article:

"That approach comes across in the music for Dämonen, setting the scenes with economy and effectiveness, and never resorting to overindulgence. There are some moments where Apparat invokes the spirit of Hans Zimmer, for example in the closing scene Amos where the radiant textures are boosted by intelligent writing for the organ. Habakuk, too, has a swell and shimmer that we would associate with the older composer, but it is never derivative – Apparat’s harmonic language is very clearly his own."

Hans Zimmer is a famous movie score composer. He also did the music for "City Of Angels", with Meg Ryan and Nicholas Cage.

I'm gonna give it a try as I like it. I have the first few books in Finnish, but this time I'd rather read in the original language.

And how the hell don't you know Hans Zimmer? He's super popular these days.

That trailer is great. Look to be a good film. And Jason Momoa is in it. How can you go wrong?

That's disturbing. Fortunately real life Jason is solid as ever. Too bad he's married to Lisa Bonet. But not too bad for her at all.

I'm brave enough to admit that I kinda have a mancrush on Jason Momoa. He was great in Aquaman.

I prefer Brad Pitt, ever since Troy... I almost walked out of that movie when I saw he was starring in it, as Achilles no less. He was great, as it turned out ...

Jason Momoa is cool, they need to emphasize his 'strength' more though, I think.

Lisa Bonet did a serious number on Mike Tyson ... she turned that mean machine into a mouse. It was sad for him, she took advantage of his status and tore him down in the process. My bad, it was Robin Givens not Lisa Bonet ... oy vey. switch the names
