This one looks like it has potential: Chris Pratt and J.K. Simmons

It was good, I don't think it will enter the Akashic record ... but good. It had some special effects that demonstrated the supernormal abilities of the Infinites. In terms of that it had some interesting points regarding the memory of past lives and how that 'usually' works, etc. I've also been re-watching 'The 4400' series. I think I lost interest the 1st time but I'm determined to get through to the end this time to see what happened.

I just saw that it was cancelled after 4 seasons but they're are rebooting for additional seasons.

I had to make a punny joke.

Promicin is the neurotransmitter which enables the superpowers.

Promise is the city of the future.

(I looked up the show on Wikipedia)

Interesting, I didn't know there was a big Hollywood movie about reincarnation.

Or perhaps there have been a few here and there, such as Cloud Atlas even though that one had independent funding.

    I've also been re-watching 'The 4400' series.
I remember that series being hyped a long time ago here, I probably watched a bit of the first season.

Was it about 4400 people being abducted?

yeah, that was it ... I kind of gave up on it myself but I'm rewatching now and saw that they're planning more ... In truth, I hope it is better ... there is a whole lot of material to work with. A critic said that it was canceled after 4 seasons for no specific reason but are bringing back. maybe better characters ... there is one young girl in it that is very lovable but unloved because of her precognitive abilities. She reminds me of one of my daughters long time friends (I don't think they hang out much anymore). The character might be too old for a reboot.

I didn't realize Summer Glau was in the 4400. I'll watch it just for her. Or at least those episodes.

I just loved her in Firefly.

Yes, but not by aliens. They were taken away from all over the timeline, and they all reappeared again on the same day, without any recollection of where they had been, and without having aged a day, but each of them with special abilities, which they will discover and hone as the series progresses.

As the plot goes, they were abducted by humans from the future, but there is a schism among the future humans, and both groups appear to have an agenda of their own.

And as the terminator sent to protect the teenage John Connor in "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles". She always plays these quirky characters. In "The 4400" she plays a schizophrenic woman with an ability to force her (subconscious) will upon others.

I knew she looked familiar, I just couldn't place her ... good character

Seasons 2 & 3 of The 4400 are much better ... they start exploring 'powers' much more. The characters for the most part still suck though ... Except for the little girl and this lady from Spain ... Hey that's a poem isn't it?
