If he fracks up America as badly as everything else he has failed at/ruined, more than Americans will suffer. It will affect the world, and not in a good way. He's slathering over Putin, et al. Many folks will be royally screwed.

There's not a parallel figure on the left who would wreak the damage that Trump already has. Not in the US.

Amen to that, this alt-right thing has penetrated so deeply that even those that abhor it are victims of it influencing their subconscious. That is why it is so sinister. I've watched more than a few of David Packman's videos and everything I've seen is truly 'liberal'. Very unlike what has been presented here on the forum. I think Wind is unconsciously yanking my chain with some of these videos. I find that interesting but not threatening, even productive from the scope of dialogue. Jimmy Dore on the other hand, is a rabble-rousing moron. I really don't understand why he gets any traction at all. Beyond the possibility that the right gets an erection listening to him rag on the left.

There's plenty to criticize about the left and the Dems. Unfortunately, it plays so much into the hands of the right because it leads folks to ignore the actual damage being done by actual policy coming from he right.

That's certainly not my intention. I do watch David Pakman sometimes, but mainly Kyle Kulinski (Secular Talk) and the Young Turks. I like Kulinski a lot out of all of the political commentators, because he speaks by his conscience and he knows what he is talking about. I see that he is a true progressive in every sense of the word. People like Pakman don't always see the full picture, but at least they try and I'm sure that their heart is in the right place. Also you should ask why some things might bother you? Perhaps there is something to be understood and reflected on.

lol, i might have confused Pakman for Kulinski ... I don't need to reflect on it... I know perfectly well. I'm not giving you a hard time Wind. You are a perfectly good guy. I'm just very very frustrated and saddened by America. I live here remember. Though as long as I can remember I wished I didn't.

Those who support dems are generally better educated, smarter and less bigoted. And I mean smarter in the sense that they have a slightly more global world view.

We have repug types in Canada, as well. Not as many ,percentage wise, as in the U.S. And even though its all about Jesus, they are very bigoted and generally kind of a waste of time. I won't communicate with them. They particularly love to rave about the indigenous population and how they "get everything" from the government because they were given reserve land. It's so profoundly ridiculous and mean spirited a point of view, I can't help but hope at times, that they have the same kind of life foisted on them. Thank God for reincarnation. It just might happen.

Those who support Q though, seem uniformly limited, cognitively speaking. I don't know how else to explain it. They're stupid and their paranoia is completely displaced due to their rampant stupidity and child like overly emotional state of being.
Is it a neoliberal 2 party fake democracy up there like it is here?

Sam Seder's majority report and Ben Dixon are my favorite commentators--and then I listen to Mike Malloy for nostalgic reasons, screaming at "conservatives".

Reporter straight up asking DJT about Qanon to his face blew my mind, his answer was not surprising at all.

We have gone full nazi here in the states, the RNC made that super clear. The coming months will (continue to) be interesting.
What is the purpose of your presence?

Indeed, donk. Interesting as in the English expression about living in interesting times which is not at all a well wish. (It's supposed to have been a translation from Chinese but perhaps not).

More folks are quitting their Facebook employ.

Facebook software engineer Ashok Chandwaney has watched with growing unease as the platform has become a haven for hate. On Tuesday morning, it came time to take a stand.

“I’m quitting because I can no longer stomach contributing to an organization that is profiting off hate in the US and globally,” Chandwaney wrote in a letter posted on Facebook’s internal employee network shortly after 8 a.m. Pacific time. The nearly 1,300-word document was detailed, bristling with links to bolster its claims and scathing in its conclusions. ✄

Tuesday’s resignation made Chandwaney the latest Facebook employee to quit amid rising discontent within a company that, just a few years ago, was considered an ideal employer — exciting, deep-pocketed and, as chief executive Mark Zuckerberg frequently said, animated by the seemingly benevolent mission of connecting the world together. Worker frustration with Facebook’s policies on hate and racist speech has risen as protests against racial injustice have swept the country, with thousands of employees demanding that Zuckerberg, who controls a majority of Facebook’s voting shares, change his stances.
