I had to cancel my prior response ... no quotes.

Trust me? You know who says that, don't you? yeah me, and a group of persona-non-grati who shall go unnamed to avoid my cancellation.

I assume, BOB, that you are referring to the video posted by Wind? I haven't listened yet. Is it Carpo saying 'Trust me'?

(my sister-in-law regularly says 'I'm not gonna lie to you', and I wonder if she even knows how it sounds)

People seem to have a weirdly religious attitude towards these systems: capitalism, socialism, fascism, communism, etc. I'll be interested to see if Carpo touches on this.

I've always wondered why people have to litter so much, it just conveys a real sad message about society.

That was the US...this is the UK!

Whatever is true. Whatever is noble. Whatever is right. Whatever is lovely. Whatever is admirable. Anything of excellence and worthy of praise. Dwell on these things. Jesus Christ (I agree)

The UK seems to need a 'give a hoot, don't pollute' campaign. And the young adults are just as 'immune' as ever.

The answers were always essentially the same. What that indicates and we know from the recalcitrant nature of personality disorders is that even in incipient form people are good or bad and they carry that with them on life's journey. This suggests to me that even apparent bad could essentially be carrying the beginning elements of what will manifest as good in a mature individual. A good example is the Jolly Ginger, his answers might look different or perhaps the same over the years but the essential elements of 'questioning' his reality was always there and it took him from racism to a strong sense of decency.

That just can't be true. In essence I am still the same as I was a kid (as a soul), but I'm not the person I was even three years ago. So much can change in just a few years. It is a healthy sign if an individual grows, adapts and even changes their views. I thought I knew a lot when I was 20, but actually I knew almost nothing about life. Fast forward ten years, I can say that I know hell of a lot more, but surely I don't still know everything, I still lack the "mileage". I have some experiential knowledge and mostly conceptual knowledge about some things.

Some people are born with characteristics that "doom" them for life, but perhaps even they may have chance for change even if it might seem really difficult, such as with people who have personality disorder. They're whole another breed. Then there are people who are more prone to mental illness and so forth, but those can be still be milder issues than personality disorders and they can be often contained more easily.

When you look at yourself when you were a young child, that's your true essence. After that you went through experiences in life which have always molded you to be the person that you are now. Some people do only turn worse when they age, some people start out real bad and turn out to be really good and compassionate people. Some are born into harsh conditions, experience abuse, trauma and horrible things. They make sure that they will others right always because they know how it feels to be kicked when you're down. Then there are people who are born into similar conditions and they themselves turn into abusive assholes.

It is said that people turn more conservative when they age, I don't know how true that is. I think it's just that the older people get, the stranger the world might seem to them and they miss the "good old times". It's easier for new generations the accept the transforming world as it is, because they're born into it and haven't seen so much yet.

I know, it didn't seem right to me when when I was citing the research. Maybe it is a matter of deep aspects concerning personality and character versus the lighter aspects. The bases of self are pretty rock solid.
