It is truly sad, isn't it? Divide & conquer and it works.
America is a melting pot and the country was formed by former Europeans, it's still a young country which had a very bloody beginning. It's like the Roman Empire thinking that it can rule the world with sheer force, but has so many unresolved inner problems too.
I wonder if any of you have read Howard Zinn's A People's History of the United States?
