Bodies are washing up on shore in Ecuador and mass graves are being dug to bury the deluge of Coronavirus victims. The below video seems legit.

Five mass delusions Americans still hold about the coronavirus pandemic and economic “recovery”

As you might have expected, the masses are totally delusional in their beliefs about the coronavirus pandemic and the economic “recovery” that’s being hyped by the president.

Why do so many Americans have delusional beliefs about all this? For starters, because the mainstream media is a “stampede of morons” featuring guests like Dr. Phil who know nothing about epidemiology and can’t seem to understand basic integers. But another reason is that mainstream media outlets tend to report whatever they think their audience wants to hear, and this creates echo chambers of stupidity on both the left and the right.

According to the left-wing media, every coronavirus death in America is a murder that was committed by Trump. In the right-wing media, the entire pandemic is a hoax and isn’t even very infectious, and therefore all lockdowns should end immediately because they weren’t necessary in the first place.

    Both views are total nonsense.

Here are five more insane delusions still held by the clueless masses:

Delusion #1) Getting “past the peak” means infections and deaths will rapidly plummet to zero
We are supposedly past the “peak” of hospitalizations and deaths in America, and many Americans now believe that everything will be back to normal in just two weeks.

    It’s a pipe dream.

The curve of daily new cases in the United States has flattened very near the peak, sustaining around 30,000 new diagnosed cases each day:

The daily deaths curve is still on the upswing, by the way, although we hope it will start flattening from here forward.

For both infections and deaths, however, it’s going to take a couple of months to see these numbers achieve dramatic drops. That’s because as New York is peaking and beginning to fall, the infections and deaths are not yet peaking in other states and cities.

New York has already seen 900 deaths per one million population, but Pennsylvania, where cases are rising at a high rate, has so far only experienced 75 deaths per one million. And California has only seen 27 deaths per million. That means the infections and deaths still have a long way to go for most of the country, and lockdowns can only be lifted with extreme precautions in place for social distancing, mask wearing and expanded testing.

Delusion #2) A vaccine will solve everything
Every minute of the day, some news pundit or ignorant doctor claims a vaccine will solve the coronavirus pandemic, even when no such vaccine has ever been subjected to rigorous clinical trials.

Every person saying a vaccine will solve this is, of course, a quack. There isn’t a shred of evidence that vaccines will ever work against this RNA-based virus.

In fact, according to this 2015 research article on coronavirus and their methods of replication, indexed at the National Library of Medicine, it’s likely that no vaccine will ever work against this type of virus.

Interestingly, this research was funded by the Pirbright Institution, which is partially funded by Bill Gates. The study states:

Only limited options are available to prevent coronavirus infections. Vaccines have only been approved for IBV, TGEV, and Canine CoV, but these vaccines are not always used because they are either not very effective, or in some cases have been reported to be involved in the selection of novel pathogenic CoVs via recombination of circulating strains.

…[T]he propensity of the viruses to recombine may pose a problem by rendering the vaccine useless and potentially increasing the evolution and diversity of the virus in the wild. Finally, it has been shown in FIPV that vaccination with S protein leads to enhanced disease.

In other words, the vaccine will probably make the outbreak far worse by accelerating viral evolution and leading to “enhanced” (i.e. exaggerated) immune responses in humans that end up killing more people than the covid-19 pandemic itself.

Delusion #3) The economy will “bounce back” almost immediately
There exists a widespread delusion that the US economy will come roaring back immediately upon lockdowns ending. This belief, however, belies many simple truths in the way social behavior has already radically changed because of the coronavirus. For starters, people aren’t going to start rushing back to restaurants, movie theaters and other public places, especially as new infections begin to climb again following the ending of the lockdowns.

Even more importantly, you can’t re-inflate a debt-based economy with more debt. Many of the businesses that were running on debt have collapsed beyond the point of resuscitation. They cannot be reanimated with endless injections of bailout money, no matter how large the bailouts.

Finally, the paycheck protection program (PPP) will actually hurt the recovery by paying employees more money to stay home than they might make from going back to work. Since it now looks like the Trump administration is going to keep shelling out free money all the way through the election — essentially a shady way to “buy” the election with bribes — there’s no chance the US economy will get back on track in real-world terms, since too many millions of workers are being paid to stay home and (eventually) vote for Trump, he hopes.

It begs the question: Why isn’t Trump fighting for the free speech rights of his supporters who are being decimated by politically-motivated de-platforming bans on Twitter, Facebook and elsewhere? The answer seems to be because Trump thinks he can buy the election with bailout money. It’s shameful.

Wall Street numbers are all faked now, by the way, since the Fed is buying up and bailing out everything in sight. No real markets are functioning in the USA anymore, and legitimate price discovery is a distant memory. It’s now clear that Trump and the Fed are going to try to rig Wall Street through election day and pretend that an artificially large bubble at stocks will somehow make people forget about the fact that they’re unemployed and have essentially been turned into welfare kings and queens all across America, collecting government checks while producing nothing useful for the economy.

Even if Trump wins, America loses because Trump has abandoned free markets and free speech. I’m actually glad he’s demanding his name on all the bailout checks, by the way, so that America never forgets who drove this nation into tyranny and collapse when he could have chosen freedom and abundance.

Delusion #4) Almost everybody has already been infected
This particular delusion is being pushed by conservative publishers who continue to try to pretend the coronavirus pandemic is almost over (and was never really that bad to begin with). In this delusion, people pretend that almost everybody has already been infected, claiming that so-called “herd immunity” has probably been reached already. This then becomes an argument to reopen the economy immediately, without any precautions against future infections.

The problem with that argument is that it’s pure bunk.

Credible, science-based estimates put the number of Americans who have already been infected at around 1-2%. High estimates claim perhaps 3-4%. In the Netherlands, where rigorous efforts have been made to test the population for antibodies, researchers have found around 3% of the population has already been infected.

With actual infection rates still low, the frequency of false positives is very high due to lack of specificity in covid-19 testing. Most of the “positives” currently emerging are false positives. There is a clear, mathematical explanation for this which I hope to have time to cover in a follow-up math article, but it’s a well-known phenomenon that when diseases have a very low rate of infection in the real population, any small aberration of false positives in the testing gets amplified across the data set, resulting in far larger numbers of “positives” than really exist. This is also true in breast cancer testing, where the vast majority of “positive” mammogram test results are actually false positives.

Interestingly, a theory has also emerged across the independent media that claims any person who previously took a flu shot will test positive for covid-19. If this is true — and we’re not yet convinced of that — it means the number of infections is being wildly overestimated, which therefore means the fatality rate of those who are really infected is much higher than what’s being calculated currently.

Even if you were to make a wild leap to 5% of the US population being infected already (which certainly hasn’t been reached yet), that means we’re only 1/16th of the way through this pandemic, since you’d need about 80% of the population (or more) to be immune in order to halt the cycle of exponential replication from herd immunity.

By any realistic measure, this pandemic has only just begun. We are living through the opening chapter, not the closing scene. Any effort to end the lockdowns without taking extreme precautions against further spread will only result in renewed explosions, new waves of hospitalizations and more deaths.

Delusion #5) The bailouts are free money to help people in their time of need
The fascist government has zero interest in helping the people. The bailouts are entirely designed to bail out the wealthy corporations and the banks. The only reason why money is being mailed out to the masses is in the hopes that they will use the money to pay bank loans and credit card debts. In other words, the bailouts are the government’s way of bailing out the banks via the consumers who owe money to the banks.

Even more importantly, this money isn’t “free.” There’s no such thing as free money. All the fiat currency money printing comes out of our pockets sooner or later via taxation or confiscation.

Printing money doesn’t create wealth. It destroys wealth.

Every dollar sent to a bank or a corporation as part of the bailout scheme is a dollar that must be stolen from the American people one way or another. Large-scale bailouts are really nothing more than large-scale looting of the pockets of the American workers.

Once the bailouts begin, everybody scrambles to get their share of the bailout in order to avoid being left behind. It’s rational to accept bailout money if the bailouts are under way, since you need the extra cash to compensate for the erosion of the purchasing power of the dollar that’s being accelerated by the bailouts themselves.

In the end, however, everyone loses as prices for consumers goods and services skyrocket due to an increased supply of fiat currency chasing a limited supply of goods. It’s Economics 101.

Conclusion: When delusions collide with reality, people panic
If you thought the great toilet paper panic of March, 2020 was the last panic you’d see this year, think again: Delusional thinking about this pandemic is so widespread that a whole new wave of panic is inevitable.

Panic is what happens when peoples’ delusions collide with reality. And since everybody is being lied to by the mainstream media and the social media tech giants, where Facebook “fact checks” every post to make sure it aligns 100% with communist China, the American people are living under a cloud of fascist delusions and deliberately deceptive disinformation that’s designed to mislead everyone.

All voices of reason and truth are censored and silenced, while the corporate deceivers and liars of the media dominate the airways with nothing but Goebbels-class propaganda.

It now looks like a real possibility that we may never have a working vaccine for the Sars-Cov-2 virus.

    https://www.ccn.com/dow-jones-plunge...virus-vaccine/

One thing I haven't considered is that coronaviruses are RNA viruses, they have no DNA, which makes them much more malleable and unpredictable. This is why we have no vaccine for the common cold, SARS or MERS. It may not be possible to make one and if it was, it's effects might only be temporary as this virus changes and mutates so quicky. This means that Covid-19 will be around for a long time to come, possibly forever. It may yet be possible to find effective treatments to combat it, there are several promising ones in the works, but a vaccine seems like a long shot now. What this means is that life will likely never go back to normal. We will have to live under some sort of lockdown and with social distancing possibly forever.

We have not thought through the social, economic and mental health implications of that yet, but they are considerable.

Effectively, all large and even small gatherings will become a thing of the past. No more concerts, sports events, weddings, funerals, first communions, garden parties, restaurants, cafes, tourism or non-essential travel of any sort is likely to take place in the future.

Entire industries that were still holding out, hoping for the best are now dead and will never come back. It's difficult to think of a single industry that isn't affected, but essentially, we can wave goodbye to the entire travel, tourism and hospitality industries as well as most of the entertainment and sport industries. You will spend the rest of your life where you are now, unlikely to be able to move around much, so let's hope you're happy with where you are now.

I have mixed feelings about my current place of abode. On the one hand, it is a rather lovely little city with nice natural surroundings and my family lives near me, which is good. On the other, it is small and boring, with very few dining and entertainment options, although in light of the above, that's probably not as big a deal as it was a couple of months ago.

Have all of you considered your position in life and where you live and are you happy with it?

I have deliberately chosen to move back here after long stints in Ireland, Singapore and London, because I knew a global collapse of some sort was coming and didn't want to be caught with my pants down in a big city, in a foreign land, far away from home, friends and family. I actually estimated that the big collapse would come at the turn of 2020, possibly in December, or January 2021. That was always my working assumption and planned my life accordingly. I missed the mark by a few months, but oh well...

I'm not saying that we will be miserable from now on, all of us will find happiness, joy and contentment in other things, that aren't connected to consumerism and globalism, but it sure will be a big transition. I have pretty much transitioned to the current lockdown lifestyle back in 2012 not knowing that it was preparation for things to come. I'm not unhappy with it and made my peace with the new normal years ago.

I would be interested in your thoughts on this, how are you coping and are you ready to live in this new world?

Well part of that was funny at least...save the 'left' doesn't harbor those delusions...hope perhaps for those that aren't terminally depressed...

I still don't share the left is as bad as the right opinion. It just doesn't stand up. Nonetheless, the media covers what it believes brings viewers and advertisers and that always causes a skew.

I've always engaged in critical thinking and always sought information from a wide array of sources. That's really the only way to hope for a full picture of what's going on and I always have to remember that there will be gaps.

Most Americans are not as callous as Trump. They will stay home to keep themselves and their families/communities safe. And they will go out for essential reasons, including voting. As we have seen already.

The folks having the protests, like in Michigan, were funded by a DeVos organization. This sort of political grandstanding will continue. Fomenting division has been a mainstay of the right in order to suppress participation, but it is a technique which is beginning to fail. And it will continue to fail.

This pandemic will bring folks together, if not necessarily physically, and that will be a force to be reckoned with.

Not in the US, because even the Democrats are a centre-right party, whereas the Republicans are downright fascists. Truth be told, there isn't that much of a difference between them. But, if you go to places like China, North Korea, Cuba or Venezuela, you're find a left wing that's just as bad as the far right in many places. Stalin, Mao and Pol Pot were at least on par with Hitler, Mussolini or Franco, if not worse in some cases.

Thanks Chris. I do try hard not to be Amerocentric, and it is quite a challenge. I grew up with the idea that we are the center of the universe and it's hard to shake.

I am painfully aware that the extreme left is just as bad as the extreme right. It's so crazy to me that in both cases you just end up with some sort of insane autocratic system.

Our delusions here are tightly wound up with the religious fundamentalism. Religious 'freedom' has been upended such that if the fundamentalists are not allowed to foist their values upon the rest of us then their religious 'freedoms' are being suppressed.

    It's insane.

And of course there are the folks who are jonesin' for both the Apocalypse and Civil War.

Americans were quite lucky so far in that they managed to escape outright tyranny. At no point in US history did the feds start knocking on doors and taking people away in the middle of the night for interrogation and torture.

I have a different perspective, because I actually live in a house that used to serve as the local city headquarters first for the Arrow Cross (Nazi) secret police and then the ÁVH, which was the communist secret police in the late forties and fifties. If I walk down into the basement, I can still see the hooks from which people were hung, with their hands tied above their heads.

The point being, that at least in Hungary, the very same scum served as cannon fodder for both the Nazis and the Communists. They literally were turncoats, in that one day they wore Nazi uniforms, the next day, they showed up to work in Communist regalia, but they were the exact same people, continuing with the same torture. Extreme forms of politics (and religion) attracts the same kind of people, they really don't care who they serve, as long as they can torture and lord over people and don't actually have to do any work. They're allergic to work and the ranks of the secret police are usually filled up with people who have never done an honest day's work in their lives.

I think it's still way too early to make assumptions about the way life might turn out to be in the next years and decades. One thing is for sure though, business as usual will not continue as it did before. I'm still of the opinion that we have two roads ahead of us now... One is of evolution and the other is one of collective destruction. I think even if we choose evolution as always was intended in the prophecies, then there still will be a lot painful changes ahead of us. If we can avoid major disasters and wars then that would be a good thing, but I'm not sure about that.

The following is a (slightly redacted) PM exchange between a Project Avalon member who alerted Bill Ryan and myself to an "alternative" news story that has begun doing the rounds.

With said Project Avalon member's endorsement, I am publishing my thoughts, albeit that I'm not doing it at Project Avalon itself, given the prevalence of knee-jerk reactions and paranoia that have unfortunately already long succeeded in drowning the signal in the midst of all the noise over there. I am therefore going to be doing it here at The One Truth.

    Hi [ redacted ],

Well, what I can tell you is that, as so often with this kind of messages ─ and especially with anything coming from far-right message boards like 4Chan or 8Chan ─ it is a hoax story with some truths woven into it so as to give it street credibility.

I monitor Slashdot on a daily basis ─ it's a website/forum for techies and geeks ─ and the truth that is being woven into this hoax is a report that appeared there ─ with a link to a credible source ─ on account of 267 million Facebook profiles that are currently being sold on the Dark Web.

Another truth ─ actually, a truth that is being taken out of context and thus turned into a half-truth ─ is that the SARS-CoV-2 virus behaves in many waves as the HIV virus does, i.e. it directly attacks and cripples the immune system. This is why most sufferers experience only low-grade fever unless they already had another, pre-existing condition.

A fever is a symptom of the immune system's reaction to an infection. So if you only have a low-grade fever to something as dangerous and ─ most notably ─ novel as the SARS-CoV-2 virus, then that means that your immune system is not really doing its work. Because it's a novel virus ─ meaning that it had never been discovered or reported before ─ and that in turn means that the body's immune system would normally be reacting very violently to being infected with this virus, which as such also means that you would normally have a high fever. But that is not the case, and this is one of the reasons why ─ and here's another truth taken out of context ─ many of the patients were experimentally treated with AIDS-inhibitors. Because after all, AIDS stands for Acute Immunity Deficiency Syndrome, and that's exactly what HIV causes.

And here's another interesting thing... The people who die with AIDS don't actually die from AIDS, but from any other kind of viral or bacterial disease that their body would normally develop an immunity-based response to ─ things like the common cold or the flu. And in many of the Covid-19 deaths, the patients actually died of pneumonia, rather than of Covid-19 itself, even though respiratory problems are indeed among the symptoms of Covid-19.

So there you have all this interesting knowledge, and all these interesting keywords, which you can easily pluck out of my sentences and put them into another context. And if you weave a story around it and you then post that story at some knee-jerk far-right forum such as 4Chan or 8Chan, then people are going to jump on that like fleas on a dog. The same is already true with the whole 5G nonsense. Even over here in Europe, paranoid idiots are setting 5G masts on fire, whereby they are not only endangering themselves ─ because there is high voltage involved with those installations ─ but also the firefighters and anyone who depends on 5G for their communication in times of an emergency.

And where do these idiots meet? You guessed it: on Facebook, WhatsApp ─ which is owned by Facebook ─ and all those other social media platforms that track and spy on their users and sell their users' personal information to the highest bidder. You can't make this stuff up.

What we're dealing with here is a struggle between brain and brawn, and sadly enough, brawn appears to be winning.

Now, on account of the alleged splicing with HIV, if anything had been published regarding such alleged splicing by anyone within the WHO or within the Wuhan virus research facility, then it would surely have already been published at Slashdot by now, as well as in the mainstream media over here in Europe. But that is not the case. Not a peep. So you can rest assured that it's fake news. And there is a lot of fake news circulating about SARS-CoV-2 and Covid-19 right now ─ both intentionally and unintentionally.

As for the true origin of the virus, the official explanation, both from the Chinese scientists in the field and from all international scientists who've been involved in virus research, is that we still don't know how exactly it came to infect humans, but that all evidence suggests that the virus originated naturally as a mutation from an already existing virus among bats, although some sources also believe that it may have come from a pangolin ─ i.e. a scaly anteater. But that it comes from an animal and that it is the product of natural evolution are either way two findings beyond dispute, although Bill will disagree with me on that one.

Fact is, Donald Trump has already long ago declared a covert war on "Jina" ─ as he calls it ─ because of the fact that a lot (if not most) of the US corporations' mass production is taking place in China, which supposedly means that "the Chinese are stealing American jobs". Now that is always good for some US American knee-jerks, isn't it? Never even mind that it's the American corporations who, out of their own free will, chose to move their mass production into South-East Asia ─ Japan at first, South Korea later, and more recently, China and Indonesia ─ in order to maximize their profits and do away with having to pay high wages to their factory workers. So if anyone is to blame here, then it's the US American corporate world, and not the Chinese government. But Trump is an ultra-nationalist, and he is a clinical narcissist, who will always put the blame for his own incompetence on somebody else. He's looking for a scapegoat.

The above in mind, first Trump declared a trade war with China, and then he later had Huawei's top woman arrested by the Canadian authorities on the charges of spying for the Chinese government. And so now his administration is trying to put the blame for the SARS-CoV-2 outbreak on China, any which way they can, while camouflaging Trump's own incompetence ─ and that of his administration ─ in the process. Remember George W. Bush and Saddam's alleged weapons of mass destruction? Well, it's the same thing now: El Donaldo the Banana Republican™ is looking for excuses for his cold war with China. And given enough opportunity, he'll find them too, so that he can impose more sanctions on China, and perhaps ─ like the Jimmy Carter administration did to the Soviet regime with a little help from Zbigniew Brzezinsky and Osama Bin Laden ─ "bring communism to its knees."

Of course, the Chinese government, in turn, knows all too well that Trump is trying to blame them, and so they are countering Trump's allegations by claiming that the virus may have been introduced into China by the US military. And Russian hackers have also been active in the dissemination of misinformation ─ in this case, pointing the finger at the US as having created SARS-CoV-2 as a biological weapon. (As an aside, it will of course become weaponized at some later point in time, and probably by all the major players ─ the USA, Russia, China, the UK, Israel, et al.)

But so anyway, it's all bogus. It's simply a ludicrous political back-and-forth between two nuclear superpowers. Science doesn't lie, and there are many, many more scientists looking into this pandemic than those with either a Chinese or a US American nationality.

Nope, it was developed by a US American software company, and it was later on sold to Facebook.

Bret Weinstein (a guest of Joe Rogan, epidemiologist) was speculating about the SARS-CoV-2 possibly affecting the brain, which in turn affects the respiratory system. Has anyone heard/read about this idea?
