In the US we have a leader who disbanded our pandemic response team. He also refused test kits. He downplayed the virus and lied to Americans about its danger, ability to spread and virility. He made false claims about when it would pass. Those who follow him and who thoughtlessly reject information from experts or professionals encouraged people to go out, said it was a political hoax, and exposed others even when they had symptoms.

It will be interesting and very sad to see how these patterns of denial are reflected in patterns of illness throughout the country.

(I know preppers who have a bug-out home and they've chosen to travel to a big city. No joke).

Joe Rogan asked Osterholm about saunas. He explained that if your lungs were actually filling with 120 degree air they would be seared. The hot air isn't disinfecting people.

Trump is tiring of social distancing, he decided today that he along with his financial advisors think Americans should go back to work...They don't want the cure to be worse than the disease...Trump has his businesses to think about, after all.

We're officially in lockdown until the 5th of April, but there are already rumors that the lockdown might get extended beyond that date. I still have to check today's news ─ I haven't had the time just yet ─ to get an update on the situation.

For most part, people are sticking to it, but there are a number of establishments that have not. The cops had to intervene twice at a café that was still opening up in spite of the prohibit. And they've also already had to intervene in skirmishes between hoarders, or when hoarders physically attack supermarket personnel who point out to them that hoarding is antisocial.

New York has over 20,000 cases and 157 deaths which is about .7 % mortality rate...they are getting a lot of press but they seem to have been very proactive after initial reticence.

U.S. has risen to about 1.25% while in Texas it is at 2.2%

I think he's more Berlusconi than Mussolini, to be honest. Perhaps he wants to be a fascist, but he hasn't got the brains or the guts. Mostly, people with real power and wealth see him as a useful idiot, a placeholder, until their real "man" or "woman" (khmm, Hillary, Khmm...) gets into power. Watch out for whoever is nominated as the VP next to senile uncle Joe, that person is going to be the next real president, much like Cheney-Bush W or Bush Sr-Reagan.

The video is 2 hours and 17 minutes in length ─ so it's not a suitable watch for anyone with ADHD ─ but it was pretty interesting. As always, Abby and Mike are doing an excellent job at presenting the facts, and especially so, the hidden ones that most people aren't even aware of or have already long forgotten about.

I've been looking at statistics and still don't believe that we are in the middle of a pandemic. Still saddened by the fact People lose the battle and pass. I won't speak for everyone but I am trying to make sense of what is happening. I saw a post on facebook and should have applied a copy & paste but did not - at the bottom it even stated to feel free to copy and paste. It contains information about Fort Detrick being at the centre of the outbreak. There was an American base in Wuhan and they left behind buried barrels. Soldiers were tasked to attend the wet markets.

For those of you who don't participate in facebook there is a new method that the facebook employees/AI utilise regarding censorship. It is referred to as fact checking. If they fact check it and decide it is not factual - it is ghosted out. Essentially it seems to be a little like the thought Police in that famous book. Anyhow the point I am making is the crucial information seems to have slipped from my grasp - I've asked the person who shared the information if they can help me out. The last time this happened - the person could not find it - gone from the internet in moments.

So I am still on the fence but really don't want to blame the animals. Still holding the thought that Humans have been eating Animals and Animal Products for thousands of years. Also in a first person chat yesterday - I was told that Wuhan has not one but two government biological laboratory facilities. I did not know this and if that is not correct please correct me.


Now for some insanity in Australia. There is a list of what businesses can operate and which cannot. It seems I cannot go to many businesses. As an example - to evince clarity: I am told to self isolate and yet if I want a haircut I can make an appointment at the hairdresser and then on the way home I can purchase some meat from the butcher. (Picture me shaking my head in a confused manner.) (Maybe a facepalm is more appropriate.)
