Adolf Hitler and Benito Mussolini both also had a great enough number of followers to ensure that they would remain in power in their respective nations for as long as they did. I'm no fan of either of the US political parties, but El Donaldo™'s attempt to overturn the outcome of perfectly legitimate and by now triple-verified elections and his stonewalling of the handover of presidential power ─ although already announced and expected long in advance ─ should be seen as an attempt at a coup d'état.
