Will put this out there for the community ...

While noticing Aragorn, Sammy and other TOT members are increasingly posting over at Project Avalon forum ... Perhaps now is a good time to continue bridging the gap (in) between the community forums. I am suggesting a good will gesture via Bill Ryan towards members here for reinstating former Avalon members (here at TOT) that may request it ... So that what Aragorn first (and others) envisioned may be achieved (sooner than later) in uniting the alternative forum community.

This proposal does exclude myself from the above consideration, noting I am more than content in using the TOT platform for and whatever my future duration in sharing here is deemed possible.

Interesting and I'm betting a provocative proposal...I want to see this one play out. As for me, I think (no need for comment) that I'm not a good fit for anything. I believe in truth, real truth, while it might certainly be argued that I am a self-centered, deluded 'prick' I believe in myself. One jackass once criticized my penchant for acting like a dog that won't let a bone go, I claim guilty as charged.

I should point out when that happened I was working in an environment that seemed 'weird'. On my 1st day, I walked in and everybody just sorta 'looked' at me. Studiously ignored me in fact. The vibe was strong Mr. Skywalker. I later found out that this marketing company had a policy of not doing business with 'Mexicans'. I had to laugh.

It has happened more than once, As a computer science student, I went to work for a company that programmed and repaired systems, shortly, I was very diplomatically asked 'what I was?' I had been hired by phone and the company didn't realize that I was Hispanic. My manager asked me if I was like the "The Marlboro Man"...For those non-americans that don't get the reference...He was asking me if I was a dark-skinned white guy...I was fired a couple months later for political reasons. I had embarrassed my manager by telling a customer that we could do something that the manager had stated was undoable. I did it, but it didn't matter...it was 'politics'. I should point out that my manager was an unrepentant serial liar. He constantly lied to the company owner but life went blissfully along.

So yeah, dog with a bone, that's me. But I do believe yours is a worthwhile suggestion. After all, opposing companies do mergers all the time...but then there is usually collateral damage.

Certainly an interesting idea. I don't know if it is feasible, I guess that would be up to the staff on both forums. There are a few people I wouldn't mind reconnecting with over at PA, but actually posting there? Hmm, I suspect it may not be a popular move with many of the regulars and when Aragorn started posting there again, he wasn't particularly welcomed with open arms by the Qanon crowd in particular, if I recall. Perhaps both forums are changing and heading in new directions, so it may work, who knows. I'm certainly keeping an open mind about it.

Certainly an interesting idea. I don't know if it is feasible, I guess that would be up to the staff on both forums. To be honest, I myself don't post all that much over at Project Avalon, one reason being that the huge amount of traffic at Project Avalon overwhelms my poor neurons. I do however check in multiple times a day, and then I pull up the list of new posts, and I pick out the ones that I find interesting or intriguing, such as this thread here, which is allegedly made by a new "John Titor"-style character who claims to be from the year 2036. Personally, I am not inclined to believe any of that, but I'm keeping an open mind, and this person has made some predictions for 2020, which is certainly a nearby-enough future to allow us to verify the validity of their claims.

Yet, between The One Truth, Eye-Rise ─ where I don't have to do too much these days ─ and then Project Avalon, the PCLinuxOS Forum, the Manjaro Forum and various GNU/Linux-related discussion groups on Usenet that I'm subscribed to, I've got my hands more than full. In addition to fending off a porn spam botnet that has been ─ and to a certain extent still is ─ hitting the forum via the contact form these days, I've been especially busy over at the Manjaro Forum. As you can see in the screenshot below, I've got 29 accepted solutions to my name already, and I've only signed up there on the 30th of April 2019.

That said, both Project Avalon and The One Truth have former members who will never be welcomed back ─ well, certainly not here anyway ─ but I know that many former Project Avalon members have been allowed to return in spite of earlier transgressions that I personally find questionable. It is either way my observation that Bill would certainly be open to giving someone a second chance if they were to ask for it ─ as are we over here, with the exception of certain individuals, as I said already.

As for how I was received upon my return to Project Avalon, well, yes, the reaction from the QAnon followers was certainly negative, but perhaps part of that ─ not all of it, but part of it ─ was the result of my somewhat abrupt confrontation of mojo over his hyperbolic and hyped claim that the QAnon followers had been censored when they had not been.

The rest was probably just down to prejudices against The One Truth, or against myself as an individual, and maybe some of those prejudices might have been based on the libel from our former super moderator bsbray, alias A Voice from the Mountains. He was certainly two-faced enough, and I've personally seen him mock and libel The One Truth in his posts over at Project Avalon. And when a person who is respected and/or liked by a certain subset of the community makes certain claims, then people tend to believe him ─ whether those claims are true or false.

I do however have to say that several other people over at Project Avalon have welcomed me back with arms wide open, and that especially holds true for Bill himself, and his moderators. They have all been very supportive.

The One Truth has changed quite a lot since I first signed up here. Members come and members go. But the same is true for Project Avalon. Even over there, with their more elaborate member application procedure, they apparently still do get drive-by registrations from people who decide to join up on a whim and then never return again, just as we get here. And hypes come and go, as do their cult followings. We've all seen Blue Chicken Man™ perch down here ─ actually, he was already here at The One Truth before I myself ever joined up ─ shortly thereafter followed by the discovery of the Ruiner blog by Ria and Breeze, and what a cult that turned out to be. I deem the QAnon phenomenon to be no different, and sooner or later the phenomenon is going to subside, and people will start letting go.

My point is that nothing ever stays the same. Evolution is one of the most significant pillars of life. People who've made mistakes may come to realize how wrong they've been. Old families that were once torn apart may come to reunite eventually, with tears of joy and remorse running down their cheeks. In my own personal life, there have been several episodes where my own (and only) brother and I were not on speaking terms with one another. And now, after many years and some serious talks, we're best buddies again, and we now support each other through thick and thin.

Vern likes to refer to Project Avalon as "the Papa Forum", and in a way it's true, because The One Truth started off as an offshoot from Project Avalon. We've got our own personality and our own way of doing things, but we're family. And I would like it very much if we could regularly have dinner together, just like I now regularly have an enjoyable dinner together with my real-life brother.

Together we make a difference.

For crying out loud, Vern, there is no censorship against the QAnon material here. The material has been put in a special forum category for hoaxes and misinformation, because that's what it is. But that is not censorship.

It would be censorship if we were to forbid you (and other rmembers) from posting about QAnon, whether on said thread or on another one, and unless I've just entered another reality, nobody here has been censoring you. So please stop accusing us of censorship, because not only is that a lie, but it's also insulting and libelous toward the management of The One Truth.

I once had an official Catholic Bible lying around ─ it wasn't mine ─ and on the page of the Apocalypse where the number 666 was mentioned in the canonical text, there was a footnote saying that it could possibly also have been the number 616. The footnote did however state that it was with certainty a reference to Nero, but I personally have my doubts about that.

I'm not going to be wasting my time anymore at trying to talk sense into you, Vern. You can whine from now until kingdom come about the purported censorship of your Preciousss, but it's not going to change the fact that there is no censorship, and it's also not going to make us change our minds on the fact that your Preciousss will remain parked under the Proven Hoaxes & Misinformation category, where it belongs.

I do however want you to realize that each time you falsely accuse us of censorship, you are slandering the good name of The One Truth as a forum, and I am slowly but steadily getting tired of that. So don't be surprised if at one point in the (undoubtedly near) future, your claims about censorship will be deleted from your posts by the staff. And then that won't be censorship either, but it will be moderation.
