Still understanding USAian politics, Antifa is part of the dems yes ? or some offshoot yes ?, anyway Trump tweeted that he was asking them to be looked into as being terrorpeople related, so getting a thread started to assemble facts and not. This guys vid shows a worry or two concerning them but being such a big organisation was this few people not their regular members ?.

This is why I keep on saying that the US American "left-wing" is not left-wing at all. Both the nationalists and the globalists are right-wing. The only difference lies within their modus operandi, but their ultimate agenda is the same, i.e. American world domination.

There are plenty of of rock solid talking heads on YouTube, you've just got to flush out the field to find the good ones no different than on forums. I've already pointed out Jimmy Dore, we all know Abby Martin, Kyle Kulinski is yet another one of many, seen here singling out Antifa and the authoritarian/anti free speech wing of the Left here. Just like Jimmy, Kyle does it from the *true* Left in order to root out the bullshit aspects of the whole:

Seriously, the VIOLENCE was wrong...it isn't justified...I personally don't think any progressive would do that...I think it was a false flag organized by some conservative element. I do reserve the right to promote my fantasies as truth...because I see it as the truth.

Some people don't need an ideology for justifying their aggression. They're merely hooligans. From what I can make up, antifa would primarily be comprised of such hooligans.

In the grander scheme of things, George Soros may or may not be behind it, but the fact remains that antifa's implied association with the left ─ even though that's only a smokescreen, because they're just as blind as their counterparts from the far-right ─ makes them into the perfect poster boys for right-wing populism and authoritarianism.

Simply amazing, how rapidly this thread has devolved into utter nonsense today. The predictable defense of the indefensible, because the Left of course can do no wrong, is incapable of violence and property destruction, in defiance of raw evidence and history in general. And the Right, every last little smidge of it, is of course the root of all evil, solely responsible for all the ills of the world. Not to mention that just about anything posted here is subject to being reliably politicized by certain members who just *love* to engage in partisan hackery.

IMO this is an ongoing, and sizable factor in the lack of activity on this forum. At this point I certainly wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

I don't think he was being serious about that, and that he was merely being mischievous ─ yes, it's a euphemism ─ but I agree with you on account of the thread derailment and the politicizing. And that's exactly why I normally walk away from threads that are already explicitly intended as political from the onset, because I have my tummy full of politics, and especially so US-centric politics. Or even better put still, anything US-centric, exactly because sooner or later ─ and usually sooner ─ it's going to come down to politics anyway.

Alas, Vern asked a question, and he posted the thread in the wrong forum category. So I moved the thread, and without watching the video he posted, I replied to him, and thus I've gotten involved with this thread ─ which I've already begun to regret several hours ago.
