As Gen Z overtakes boomers in the workforce,
a look at the changing perspectives on jobs
PBS NewsHour
Oct 2, 2024
This year, members of Generation Z, those born after 1997, are expected to outnumber baby boomers in the workforce for the first time. They bring with them, like past generations, different expectations, attitudes toward upper management and views on the importance of work in their daily lives. We hear from some of those workers and Stephanie Sy reports on the generational differences.

my Gen Z'er is too busy saving lives to worry about such trivialities. She did try to cancel one event. A line worker got roasted on a pole on a major intersection. She was outraged when they didn't divert traffic or cover the body. When the first responders finally got the dude off the pole, they tried to stop his father from mourning over the body (police) My daughter had the authority to tell them to get out of the way.
Well it's nice hear your young adult daughter is transitioning into being such a caring person. It speaks volumes to what i've come to realize not (always) naturally inherent to all human upbringing in character. No doubt she developed that which is from and within you. I have much respect for the evolution of humans that came before and now after us. I believe we all do, even if some have missed out on this development due to life circumstances.
