Even up to a few years ago, he could get away with pranking Americans because he is a master of disguise and he is only known for his very gross movies over here. NAP, I agree with you. I have only seen one of his movies and it was vile. That elephant scene. Whew...nasty. So nasty, any humor was lost. So, I have kind of ignored him online until last week.

His Ali G stuff is pretty tame by comparison. What I find particularly amusing are his round table discussions with American academics who aren't aware of who he is. Probably just told he was a talk show host from Britain...so they were blind sided. Maybe it is just me, but there is something pretty hilarious,about seeing arrogant people at the top of the social food chain being completely flummoxed by Ali G. Does that make me a sicko. Darn, I hope not.

yeah, he's funny, in particular if someone is so stodgy that they fall for his schtick ... no doubt he is at least several steps ahead of Don Rickles, whom incidentally I never liked ...

He's for sure an equal opportunity offender but I still would like to see him make a fool out of a Rabbi. Can anyone find such a video?

Actually, I think the ice cream glove is an excellent idea... Anyone looking for a patent.

Who among you saw the conjunction on the Solstice? It was cloudy here.

I did go out last night and look. Super cool.

Some folks took photos. This quote is funny, and a little sad.

One lady made a comment about her own pretty good shot that betrayed a fundemental mis-understanding of the scale of the solar system. She apologized for the spacing between Jupiter & Saturn and said she guessed she wasn’t at a good location for a full conjunction. I had to comment on her post to tell her that she did see and capture the full conjunction. The spacing wouldn’t have looked any different from any other spot on Earth where it was visible. You’d think that would go without saying, but apparently not.

I got one for this: During a huge snowstorm in Kansas, I was going to the local university recreation hall with a friend. I parked in the only open place I could find. It got stuck there so I left it for about 3 days. I ended up getting a ticket from the former Principle of my middle school who was now head of security at the University. I spent almost everyday at the high school rec center where his wife worked. We were actually pretty good friends. In any case, this was years later.

He was pissed way out of shape, I couldn't figure out why he was so miffed that I had parked my car on the front sidewalk. He made me feel bad, but I thought it was pretty funny!.
