I don't know if this is funny as much as plain weird. Morbid, for sure.

Fantastically Wrong: Europe's Insane History of Putting Animals on Trial and Executing Them

This is Europe’s shameful and largely forgotten history of putting animal "criminals" on trial and either executing them or, for plagues of insects, ordering them to leave town not only by a certain day, but by an exact time. Such irrational barbarism is hard to fathom, but as early as 824 all the way up to the middle of the 18th century, animals were held to the same moral standards as humans, suffering the same capital punishments and even rotting in the same jails.

Hi OG, yeah that's a tough one... Can you explain why they were atheists? Fatalism? Bad religious experiences? I believe some people are wired to attune to the 'spirit' and some are not. My argument has always been why would anyone have that wiring if it didn't serve some purpose in the natural world, even in the archaic natural world. According to those in the know natural selection favors selections that serve a function. The human animal is social and that might be the basis, but I choose to believe it is the result of an inexplicable but binding need.

Many of us have our own personal brand of childhood trauma ...

yeah, that's weird ... here in the U.S. an illegal immigrant passing a house (during broad daylight, minding his own business) was attacked and killed by a dog and fox news defended the dog. My how things have changed

I could sooo live on island time. I didn't understand until I actually went to the Caribbean. It's a thing.

I do have island time where I live anyway since I'm on my own schedule. Meal time is when I want it to be. But I generally have to make it.

nah, the 3 stooges ... the number 3, i worked with a couple of asian guys, one vietnamese, one taiwanese. One of them joked and others sorta called us the 3 Amigos, I always said we were more like the 3 stooges. You're like one of my ex-girlfriends Wind. We use to argue about everything, she liked the Marx brothers and I liked the 3 stooges. She hated them because they were so mean to each other. I thought wha' ... that's their shtick, of course, they're mean to each other ...
