There's nothing phantom about you hearing/seeing her, Brook...she's still with you for a while, until it's time to move on. I know exactly what you're going through as I lost a beautiful cat too! I still miss her although she died 15 years ago. It brings tears to my eyes knowing what you're going through, dear Sister...and there's no BS about it either. Take heart...we will get through this together...all of us.

Update:

Well the lady Cathy (neighbor) who told me about the bobcat made a correction. Her husband Ed said it was not a bobcat it was a coyote he saw.

Anyhow she knows how much I loved that cat...so she asked me if I wanted a new kitten. I told her as much as I would love to have another one (although it's really too soon..I'm still getting over sasha) I also told her I really cannot afford another cat as my finances barely took care of sasha...and god forbid something happened to her I would be unable to pay vet bill! I was having a hard enough time saving for her shots and stuff. Don't even ask about buster! He had allergies I had to give him two shots for every month that cost a small fortune!

So next thing you know she knocks on my door and first off says....before you say anything I'll pay for all the vet bills and food and stuff...but I got you a new kitten. It's long haired so I won't be allergic to it as she knew about that. And this kitten is a special need kitten. No one would adopt it because it's leg has a bend in it. She can run a bit and walk....but still is not adoptable.

So I saw it and could not say no of course. Even though I feel and know it's too soon since sasha left...I just could not say no...because it is a special needs kitten.

So they went out and bought all the stuff and some toys for it, food and litter/litter box and such and left and came back. I wonder if he can figure out how to use the toilet too? He's definitely not going to go outside. So probably will still need the litter box.

I took a nap and the kitten snuggled up to me and we took an hour nap. Here is a picture of him:

He is and I am...he's sweet too!

He finally decided to go to sleep. He fell asleep on my sock and when I got up to take a picture he awoke briefly to see what I was doing...then promptly fell back to sleep.

In this picture you can sort of see his right arm bent. He gets around pretty good thought and can climb onto the couch and has found plenty of hiding places through the early morning. He's bonded with me quite well and is purring and very vocal! Much more vocal than my Sasha which I'm not used to yet.

He does run but with a limp and when he sit's up he puts his bent arm up to his chest....sort of looks like he's getting ready to kung fu someone...I was thinking of naming him Kapow! LOL He could also look like he's doing a Napoleon Bonaparte impression!

Due to the nature of his arm he can never be outdoors and it would not be safe for him. Besides I would not let any small animals out around here with a coyote running around anyhow.

Anyway here he is with his eyes open watching to see what I am doing next. He's sleeping by the couch now next to me. We are bonding for sure!

Kapow! That's hilarious. I love it. He's adorable. I have a loud purrer. We used to have a cat who purred so loud he'd start gacking. (that's a word, right?)

Well Hello starry night !!

I'm so glad to finally see you here! Welcome!

Love the avatar name! On all the forums I've been on I've only used my name (which I found boring as everyone else had something different and related somehow to their preferences) So one day since I used to say RU Sirius all the time back in the day I joined a forum and decided to use Sirius....but someone else had it...so I just used "Star"....then I got board with that and actually stopped posting on forums for awhile. Then when I finally decided to rejoin Project Avalon I used Shadowself as it sort of fit at the time. Starry Night is the bomb! love it!

Now to the kitty's name....Kapow is not bad but like I said he sort of sits up and curls his bent arm to his chest like a kung fu pose.

What do you all think about "Kung pow"? I'm mulling it over...LOL

So...as for losing the post...happens all the time even to the best of us that have figured it out and sometimes still do it! I just did that recently....ARGH!!!

Well I'm glad you made it here! Have lots to talk about too! However I have a 3:45 appointment about the opdivo today (crossing fingers) and I just hope Mr Kung Pow brings me luck...I need it right now!

According to the dictionary, it means "stealing". So I'm not so sure whether you would be using that word correctly here.

I'd simply abbreviate it to Pow. Or Paw, even.

Good Morning,

Doctor said he's going to continue the Opdivo and leave behind the prednisone for a try. He wants me to continue with the claritin (over the counter med) in case it was the cat that caused it. He does not think the rash was from the accumulated chemo...but the liver and lung pain probably is. Right after the Opdivo I get my CT scan so we can see what's up.

Btw I had some severe liver pain after awhile when I got home and tried to sleep as best as possible.

Here is what I awoke to this morning! One Ninja Kitty working out! Pardon my sniffles I woke up with a bit of sore throat and sniffles this morning. You can see the bend in his right arm a bit better here.
