My Dad grew up in Kalamazoo. He's proud of this type of action. He still knows that it's the American way.

He gave money to his high school to start a scholarship (not in Kalamazoo, but near Grand Rapids). It was not in his name but in the name of his principle who convinced him to even finish HS. My father became quite successful.

The school went from sending no kids to college to sending dozens.

He gave them a goal and a path and also encouragement. He went there in person yearly until he was physically unable and personally reviewed each application. He also kept in contact with students who had graduated, one of whom was a girl who became a doctor.

I wonder how many people in this community have done such things. I'd love to know.

As an aside, the kids who go to that high school are almost all black now and from very poor communities.

The wound - leftover from slavery/civil war - has been broken open, is being cleaned out, and the infection is being fought. May the immune system win!

I'm hoping it doesn't turn violent...It could, all we need is a couple of Trump's despicable people to force a confrontation.

All this because the people that own this country can't physically, intellectually, even spiritually outperform the new competition. This from those that espouse self-responsibility, ambition, intellect, etc. They're sissies!

What could possibly justify this? There is no end which justifies this means. None at all. Shame will be upon us for a long time.

Is that what concerns you? The children are traumatized, but you aren't responsible?
