There is a personal aspect to this for myself. My first wife was a Korean from Seoul. I got to know these unique people as she had a sister in the USA and we spent a lot of time together. Later, the rest of her brothers and sister, with her family came over and I remember the dinner we had and how easy the laughter flowed. As they spoke Korean, and I did not, my wife had to keep me included during the breaks. They are warm and my wife, Yun Kyong, told me that Koreans considered themselves the "Latins of the Orient". Yes, she used that word, Orient. She had two sisters and two brothers. She was the middle sister.

Anyway, there is only one Korea. The North/South is a a result of Western fookery. These people want to be together and it did not surprise me that a certain dish of their cuisine is now the rage in the South of that country. They party hard, laugh often and like very spicy food. The beauty of this is, no translators were needed as, they speak the same language. They are the same people.

There can be no doubt that the goobs of fookery will not be pleased with this. Too bad, there is a Destiny far more powerful than them at work here and, I will not only applaud this turn of events but, celebrate it.

If this goes through, I shall celebrate with the Koreans. It's just like the Berlin Wall...

There is a powerful cultural current here. The Koreans in the North have held onto their ancient ways, while the South have fallen into thrall with Western culture, if one can call it a culture. The North could benefit from integration into the world and the South can benefit from remembering their 'ways'.

I admit my cynicism but I think part of the calculus by North Korea is to gain favor for Trump in the United States thereby hastening its demise.

I guess because of the personal nature of this, Trump did not enter my mind. The people and a country coming together again after 'politics' split it is central for my perception. Politics is all about splitting people into competing or, better for 'them', warring factions. It has ZERO to do with representing people, especially the better qualities of people. Instead it always appeals to where the darker parts of our psyche can reside, the emotions. Stoking and feeding emotions helps keep the more conscious logical part of our minds out of the equation.

Considering the warring energies spread about the collective mind, Korea wise, this should be huge continuous news for weeks, this peace energy, or war killing lol.

The California coast has a similar appearance as it erodes. The scale is smaller but has a vast, grand look.
