Dumpy, why not dump your suit of armor. You're amongst friends--I think.

Which armor? My knowledge of military history? That I worked for the US Dept of Defense for 45 years? I cannot repudiate my past. The fact that I’m regularly posting here tells you that I think it a friendly environment.

Are you wishing to re-create your post from PA here? I'm not exactly sure what you're asking.

If you want the article you linked to posted here we can help with that.

The only suit of armor Dumpy won't dump is the one where he won't tell stuff from his career that he can't disclose. He's refused more than once already. Other than that...

Fond memory of a clip from the winter olympics. One of the kiwi halfpipe skiers had already qualified for the finals so on that final run he just took it easy but did some really cool low scoring tricks, basically having fun and showing the world how fun looks.

The judges had a good sense of humour, and awarded him 42 out of 100.
It seemed the gesture wasnt lost on the skier but it seemed to go over the heads of commentary.

Unfortunately the kiwi broke himself in a warm up run the next day, 10 mins before the finals and was taken to hospital.

Maybe one day someone will translate it into simpleton so I can grasp a bit of it.
Actually I think the mass of stuff there overwhelmed me so maybe its partly that and partly simpleton, as I dont think I'm a full blown maths simpleton.

I’d love to tell you I understand it all, but some is still beyond me. Sacred Geometry is deep stuff.

20 years ago I had this room/flat/housemate that was an engineering professor, he was creepyily into his secret geometry and had a good 50 or so wire framed polygons and all that jazz. Some of them had rubber joints. One in particular he was keen to show off, a regular hexagonal polygon i think it was...when you pushed it down from the top it would flatten/collapse into a 2d flat polygon, it would do so with its rubber joints and it twisted or corkscrewed in order to collapse. He was mainly excited to show how that you could flatten it. But had to hold it down, and when it was let go, it would spring back into the 3d and leap off the table a bit from doing so.
He claimed it showed all number of things about interdimensional energy and the twisting of the plane between dimensions. There is some geometric model made by a husband and wife that is supposed to show the 4th dimension in theory. It was related to that.
But yep there's that bit of sacred geometry, then there's the numbers, the colours, the vibrations, the fractals. 42 different aspects I bet.

It's mostly beyond me too, I think. And yet there's enough appreciation and understanding to incorporate some of it. And sharing is good, too. Gotta keep the dendrites fuzzy.
