I am impressed by your politeness, Wind. It's a breath of fresh air at times for me as I encounter rudeness more than I'd like in life. Thank you.

Polite people are indeed pleasant, especially when they can be real at the same time and don't just then turn around and make snide remarks behind backs.. or just continue to withhold the truth from people. It is quite rare to find someone that can be polite all the time and be genuine!

I've already got the answer: authoritarianism vs anti-authoritarianism...

I guess I don't really understand the concepts being discussed...It seems that what has been traditionally been considered as 'common decency' has morphed into 'social justice activism'. I mean this is what it seems to me...My language interpretation...

the interviewer raises some very good and legitimate points...I don't think he's fascinated with Peterson...I think he recognizes the game that Peterson is playing...and it's unfortunate because Peterson is obviously intelligent as well as educated...but he's a 'threatened white male'...<snicker><snicker> too bad for him...he doesn't realize it yet but he's already lost...

In the latter part of the video, he's referring to John Lash types...actually, I meant that brilliant young Intellectual with the Iranian genetic heritage.

Life will eventually lead to death.

It is better to die for something than to live for nothing.

I hope this isn't an intrusion here. I thought it went with the theme. I found a video about Malcolm Gladwell and ten rules he has. It was compiled by someone else. It's a collection of clips of Malcolm over the years. I think it's good.

When I first started to listen to Jordan Peterson six months ago, I came across this lecture. It's still one of the best presentations I've ever heard (I've listened to many). What better advice could you possibly give especially to young people? Life is suffering (or contains a lot of it), but there is a way to transcend it. "The answer to the problem of humanity is the integrity of the individual. That's the answer."

As long as integrity is learned and is part of the ego/consciousness complex. Too many speak well but not to impart insights into self awareness...but more as a warning that one 'better' learn integrity or have it imposed from without. Under those circumstances I can say pretty uncategorically that I would be a criminal.

Integrity can't be imposed. Integrity is about being true to beliefs.

If you're being imposed on you're in a cult, an authoritarian system, or you're not exercising your will.

The real reason we wouldn't need government is because we'd be using our will, exercising integrity, and also common sense, and working together.

Greed and desire for power over others, imposition, is what's at the heart of our continued need to have our systems of law and govt.

Some people simply can't leave others be.
