Well, I myself consider humans quite alien, so...

I am sure there are several dozen alien species feeling affronted by having humans lumped into their descriptor, Aragorn.

Though, the fact humans need to fabricate shelters, clothing, and tools to survive.. And that they partake in obscenities for their entertainment, WOULD make them definable as "not of this world", but I would be interested to which world would claim humans as their own. :-(

Maybe Planet Ficksucks from the galaxy of Debauchia

You're not kidding. One year, after a very heavy rain the stream bank eroded a bit to uncover a strange creature...

It's octopus stinkhorn, aka devils fingers. The phase with the egg sac and the octopus looking tentacle inside was creepy looking.

I don't eat any fungus growing wild. I may grow my own gourmet mushrooms.

There are a few poisonous plants in my backyard. Bloodroot is one. It produces a daisy-like flower in the very early spring which opens in daylight and closes at night. The root is the poisonous part, its juices degrade mucous membranes. The American Indians used it medicinally, but I don't know how. With care, certainly.

We have crayfish. They're dark red, very fast and not this mutant type.

In Arizona we called them craw-dads.
