Today is perigee. Thursday morning is full moon which is a total lunar eclipse. Here in NZ it will be 2 hours 30 into the month of February so technically it will not be the second full moon of the month. The first being on January the 2nd of which it was also perigee making it a supermoon. When there is 2 fullmoons in a month the second one is called a blue moon. And because it is a lunar eclipse, it is also called a blood moon. So people who are in the right time zone for the moon to be full in January, are able to call it a blue blood moon

A series of three supermoons began on Sunday and will end with a super Blue Blood Moon on Jan. 31, giving what one rabbi explained is a triple-dose of divine judgment to "the haters of Israel" as the secular New Year comes in.

A supermoon occurs when the moon is at the part of its elliptical orbit that brings it closer to Earth, appearing up to 14 percent bigger and 30 percent brighter than when it is viewed at its furthest point. On Sunday, Dec. 2, a supermoon was visible over the United States, and two more supermoons are expected over the course of the beginning of the new year.

The upcoming supermoon on the night of January 1st will mark when the moon at its closest point this year and will be the largest of the three supermoons.

The final supermoon of the trio will arrive on Jan. 31. It is also a "blue moon," so called because it is the second full moon in a single calendar month. On average, blue moons happen every two and a half years. That supermoon will also feature a total lunar eclipse, with totality viewable during moonset from western North America across the Pacific to Eastern Asia.

The moon's appearance will change during the eclipse, gradually getting darker and taking on a rusty or blood-red color, making the astronomical spectacle a super-blue "blood moon."

So, to all you heathens on this forum: get ready, God is gonna get you.

I don't believe anyone is going to be judged for hating Isreal. I also don't believe certain people have a higher place in heaven. I do think it's admirable to dedicate oneself to their god and their way of life. There is no honor in judging people who follow a different religion and even less trying to force religious doctrine on anyone.

The eclipse was the best one I've watched. Totality was full, it lasted a long time and it looked like a pale marble in the sky in the morning. As it was setting it still looked like a crescent except it was oriented wrong for moonset.

    I'm glad no earthquakes happened.

I slept thru it, full day of moving boxes for the GF. Besides I was tired after a full day of judging heathens as well...
