When one knows the truth, is there no way of being not arrogant in peoples eyes who do not know ?.

Ooh, Aianawa, there must be. I hope I am not guilty of being so unkind. If I am, it is not intended.

For a start, one would have to first open their mouth and speak to the eyes that do not know, unless there be some form of reckless telepathic mind reading powers within the eyes of unknowing.
Assuming the unknowing I's aren't telepathic, then the words of those who believe they know a truth are commonly going to be defined as unsolicited droppings on the clean washing of the sleeping eyes. So of course they will be unimpressed and seek the rebutal that the droppings come from a strutting cock. It is a predictable rection to the threat of the unknown.
This without getting into the notion of truth.

    Aianawa,

    You are profound.

I hear you saying that all of us speak the truth as we know it.

    All of us.

Amen to that...as we see it and as we know it, and " the Truth" is a carrot "dangling" in front of us.

No one is in a position to say they know the truth and someone else doesn't. I see the truth as a model of reality, if one's truth is in accordance with empirical events then that is close to truth. Models work, for example, Ptolemy's model of geocentrism did well in showing that the Earth was the center of the Universe. He might have been wrong ...

One that "believes' they know the truth just has to live with it and hope it really is what they think it is...beyond that, all bets are off. I always go back to Kant's "Critique of Pure Reason"...he pretty much nailed it...

    In my opinion, of course.

For a good cross-reference, see the post from Kryon that Ainawa just entered on the forum here. Well worth the read!

I haven't read the post from Kryon yet.

    I see it's a channeled message.

At present, I have a mental block against channeled messages.

However, there is plenty of mind-boggling stuff out there that I find to be at least worth considering and trust-worthy, because my intuition doesn't get alarm bells when I listen to or watch the source. (If something is only in writing, I don't have enough to go on.)

Hopefully, I will not be veering this thread off-topic by asking this question: Who is Kryon?

Kryon is definitely channeled messages...but I must say that every now and then I listen or read really really good stuff with a lot of wisdom, and you yourself have to decide what is good for you.

    Dumpster,

    Thanks; I needed that!

    Big time.

    (I don't laugh very often.)

    See how I'm learning?

Here's what I'm looking for: Good ideas from other people that will save me time and effort.

First, is Kryon a person that we can look at, or are the messages only in print from the channel "Kryon"?

Oh Dumpy, you are funny. I guess there's no sense Kryon about it.

If you're right 51% of the time you're doing almost as well as the average marriage. It's apparently better than 50% now after a nadir in the '80s. (That may be totally Amerocentric data).

It's a leadership skill to state something with assurance even if you're not sure at all. A good leader brings people together using this skill. Now, if a person does not have a record of integrity, their words are not going to carry as much weight and won't have the unifying effect needed.

A preacher can inspire without seeming arrogant. I had a priest once who was very good at this. He did not stand up on the lectern and he invited the congregation to speak. He called it a sermon dialogue. I miss that.

I have people look me in the eye saying, "I don't believe that," when it's easily seen/found out. How do you speak to someone about their own deliberate ignorance, which is a terrible form of arrogance? I don't have the answer yet. I can't say anything, and dialogue is over.

How do you counteract the arrogance of someone who assumes they know what's in your heart and mind better than you? I haven't found the answer to that either.

Keeper and Dreamy: you guys are who I write the crazy stuff for...

Btw, Dreamy’s “Kryon about it” is punnier than my colors.
