    Levitation and the Electric Universe

Thanks to Spiral for sharing the Suspicious 0bserver's information. I recommend it highly. Happy to say that I attended the Thunderbolts conference this year in Albuquerque. I consider it a high point in my life. It was that fantastic. If you want to take the blinders off then learn everything you can about the Electric model of the universe. The model is not perfect, but it blows away anything we have to date. Here's a little 4 minute taste you all might enjoy.

7.1 magnitude earthquake strikes Chiapas, Mexico: 5 dead

July 2014 – MEXICO - At least five deaths were reported after a magnitude-7.1 earthquake rocked much of southern Mexico and Central America on Monday. The U.S. Geological Survey said the temblor, which hit at about 7:23 a.m ET, was centered about 5 miles northeast of the town of Puerto Madero near the Guatemala border. At least two people are reported dead in Guatemala. Firefighters spokesman Raul Hernandez said at least two people were killed in the Guatemalan town of San Marcos. In Mexico, local news media reported the quake was felt strongly in the Mexican states of Chiapas and Tabasco, but there were no immediate reports of damage or injuries. The quake was centered 57 miles below the surface. The earthquake was later downgraded to a 6.9 magnitude event by the USGS. It would’ve been the 9th such 7+ magnitude event in a year that is only supposed to barely average 15 such sizable earthquakes. Scientists reported in the journal Geophysical Research Letters in June that the number of large earthquakes happening in the first part of this year had doubled, though the cause for the escalation couldn’t be exactly identified. “We have recently experienced a period that has had one of the highest rates of great earthquakes ever recorded,” said lead study author Tom Parsons, a research geophysicist with the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) in Menlo Park, California. The cause of the escalated seismic activity, said Parsons remains unknown. –AP, TEP

Death toll could rise: The earthquake struck 14km offshore from the city of Mazatan in Mexico, but strong tremors were felt across the border in Guatemala. Significant damages were reported in the region of San Marcos in Guatemala where the quake damaged buildings and triggered landslides.

Super typhoon takes aim at Japan, emergency warnings issued

TOKYO - Japan’s weather agency on Monday issued emergency warnings to urge people in the country’s southern islands to take maximum precautions as a super typhoon described as a “once in decades storm” is set to rake the Okinawa island chain with heavy rain and powerful winds. Typhoon Neoguri was already gusting at more than 250 km an hour (150 mph) and may pick up still more power as it moves northwest, growing into an “extremely intense” storm by Tuesday, the Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) said. But it was not expected to be as strong as Typhoon Haiyan, which killed thousands in the Philippines last year. The JMA issued emergency storm and high sea warnings for Japan’s small southern island of Miyakojima, some 300 km (188 miles) southwest of Okinawa island, and for a smaller nearby islet. The agency said on Monday evening it also planned to issue an emergency high sea warning for Okinawa island, host to three-quarters of U.S. military facilities in Japan. “In these regions, there is a chance of the kinds of storms, high seas, storm surges and heavy rains that you’ve never experienced before,” a JMA official told a news conference. “This is an extraordinary situation, where a grave danger is approaching.” The storm was south of Okinawa but moving northwest at 25 kph (16 mph) with sustained winds of 180 kph

Not nice eathquake struck Japan 3 hours ago and sends warning signals. Its near Fukushima again.

NN) -- A powerful earthquake struck early Saturday off the coast of northern Japan -- rattling nerves in a region rocked three years ago by a deadly tremor, tsunami and nuclear crisis, though thankfully the latest episode didn't nearly measure up.
The Japan Meteorological Agency at one point issued a tsunami warning, which it later amended to tsunami advisories for coastal regions in Iwate, Miyagi and Fukushima prefectures. The latter is the site of the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power facility that was the center of a weeks-long radioactive crisis.
But a large tsunami never materialized.
At 6:15 a.m. Saturday (5:15 p.m. ET Friday), the same agency noted that all tsunami advisories had been canceled.
Whereas before the JMA urged everyone to "get out of the water and leave the coast immediately," that last update was less alarming. "Pay attention when fishing, swimming or engaging in other activities," the agency noted, "as there may still be slight sea-level changes for the time being."
The Japan Meteorological Agency characterized the quake as a 6.8-magnitude. Yet the U.S. Geological Survey had it a little weaker, downgrading its earlier estimate in calling it a 6.5-magnitude tremor.
According to the USGS, the quake was centered off Honshu island some 129 kilometers (79 miles) east-southeast of Namie and 284 kilometers east-northeast of Tokyo. It was 11 kilometers, or 7 miles, deep.
There were no immediate reports of damage.
