The common consensus is that someone that perpetrates this kind of crime doesn't only do it once, they do it because they like it and they are compelled to do it. (i.e. Serial Killer). The most popular theory about who actually committed the crime posits that it was her brother. 2nd choice is her mother...but the most likely is the brother. Outside of those mainstream theories are the Serial Killer theories and because it was never an open and closed case, the FBI had to continue pursuing a resolution. Thus, the arrest of Karr more than a few years after the actual murder.

I had to look up on what "SK" meant myself. You see, NotAPretender is a member of a large tribe called Acronymians, who reside on a big patch of land at the North-West of the Atlantic Ocean. The language they speak is Acronymese, which vaguely resembles English.

Unless I'm mistaken, I believe that "SK" — in the context of the person NotAPretender spoke of — stands for "serial killer". The question as to whether you would be a member of JonBenét Ramsey's family was probably inspired by your reply.

That is exactly the point I was trying to make, DMt. Like I said, such a thing would never even have been allowed here in Europe — for all its flaws. It's sick.

In that case, I share your suspicion. Same thing with the McCanns, for that matter. Too many inconsistencies.

I forgot to mention, I've heard it said more than once that politics is Hollywood for the Homely. The sexual harassment stuff coming out now with our Congress is part of the same pattern of people in power and the effects that has. Business, entertainment, politics, military, we will find the same patterns of behavior.

And it's not all going to be solved by sudden mass arrests. This is a disease which needs healing and that's going to take much longer than most people would like. The arc of change is slow from our personal perspectives.

While I agree that it's a deep-rooted malady that requires healing, ceasing to allow impunity for this behaviour seems like a good start, to me.
