NZ news. Police arrest anti-weapons protesters trying to block off Westpac Stadium

Yep, the world arms industry decided to come to NZ for our big defence and arms 'expo'.

They will be a little bummed out that they didn't manage to fly under the radar here and about 300 people made a bit of a show of it.

Interesting to see how many of our police were loaned as security for the day?

Bit of discussion went on over the news media and protesters calling it an Arms Exp when the organisers wished for it to be know an as a defence department forum.
It is a regular thing, each time they have this 'forum', it gets picketed.
Noted that it had previously been agreed that the event shouldn't be held at a council owned premises. So they went for the technicality of the stadium which is under an umbrella trust or whatever they called it, administered by the council and the wider regional council.
The clips kind of show our police to be pretty gentle.
