    Harvey Weinstein:

characterized as a 'sexual predator'. There you go, more propaganda in the form of conceptual conflation. I've been sexually harassed on the job (by a female). I would hardly consider any harasser a sexual predator, more a sexual a**hole.

Putin has never changed any alliance. He is a 'social predator' much like Trump. He is more than a few steps ahead of this guy in the video.

We really shouldn't help them. The New York Times, the liberal MSM, is attacking Weinstein...WhatTha'

    NAP

He (HW) came to work one day a few years ago. Maybe he was all dressed down, thinking he was on holiday in the antipodes or something, but the sight I saw was this flubbery guy wearing stretched and stained T shirt, shorts and stuble. I remember thinking to myself at the time, that he looked more like some stereotypical sex offender than a successful hollywood producer.

..didn't watch OP video yet, sorry.

...right, pretty 'hilarious' about the youtube censorship.

Oh a bit of a sideliner to that. The film we were making was a kung fu one.
The villains tower, or whatever it was... (lol I never read scripts and rarely watch the film afterwards)
..was called the dark tower or pagoda. When we were making it and the cladding guys started putting up the sheets of fake rock relief panels. I was like, "Why are there swastika symbols all through the relief?"
Once it was pointed out by a few, the call came back from the designer to smash the edges about a lot to hide them. It was just really odd that anyone would have even gone there putting the swastika in a film like that. I am not sure if any of the symbols made it into the film.. but yeah, just weird and ironic or whatever considering the surname of the producer and the linking to China with the movie syndicate.

I don't know if people have begun to notice, but in the last 4-5 years, the Chinese have begun to have massive power in the film industry, most Hollywood films now look to have at least one Chinese actor in it for a start, but more and more we are seeing busloads of Chinese investors coming for looks.

Chinese have bought huge chunks of media companies. The communists of the world are uniting.

I am both perplexed and disturbed by the alt-community being so eager, even drooling, for the next fancy hollywood release. Constant references to scene and dialogue from these movies peppers both speech and suppositions. The communists of the world would like to thank these people for their continued patronage and support. They would be unable to mess with our heads without it.

I stumbled over Reagan's 'alien' speech to the UN and the humble tone of his voice strikes me.

One of 5 times he mentioned an alien threat. Some link it to the night in 1974, when from a Cessna Citation aircraft, one of America's most famous citizens saw a UFO. There were four persons aboard the plane: pilot Bill Paynter, two security guards, and the governor of California, Ronald Reagan. As the airplane approached Bakersfield, California, the passengers called Paynter's attention to a strange object to their rear. "It appeared to be several hundred yards away," Paynter recalled. "It was a fairly steady light until it began to accelerate. Then it appeared to elongate. Then the light took off. It went up at a 45-degree angle-at a high rate of speed. Everyone on the plane was surprised. . . . The UFO went from a normal cruise speed to a fantastic speed instantly. If you give an airplane power, it will accelerate-but not like a hot rod, and that's what this was like."

A week later Reagan recounted the sighting to Norman C. Miller, then Washington bureau chief for the Wall Street Journal. Reagan told Miller, "We followed it for several minutes. It was a bright white light. We followed it to Bakersfield, and all of a sudden to our utter amazement it went straight up into the heavens." When Miller expressed some doubt, a "look of horror came over [Reagan]. It suddenly dawned on him . . . that he was talking to a reporter." Immediately afterward, according to Miller, Reagan "clammed up."

By the way, Russia and China have united ten years ago already, when they signed a mutual defense pact. If the US attacks Russia, it automatically gets China on its back.

    Here's a different perspective:

Asians are usually played to the cultural stereotypes that Americans love. Almost always if there is a role for a technology superstar whether geek or villain it will be an Asian, sometimes an African American wearing glasses...the glasses are a must have. (Stereotypes suck almost as bad as propaganda)

The Chinese mainlanders have a thriving black market business in American goods and that without doubt includes the movie industry. And then there is Jackie Chan, I met him at one of his book signings, he seemed ok to me...Red hair and all.

Are the buyers Chinese Government or private investors? Privateering is capitalism to its core. There are a lot of Asians in the world, they need to be in movies to appeal to a world wide demographic.

My daughter is in her 4th year of learning Mandarin Chinese and I have an old friend that taught English in China for a few years. I think times have changed dramatically. My friend said he felt like he was always under surveillance and perhaps that's true because his dad was a former american government intelligence officer.

I have friends that are married couples, one from Taiwan and one from the mainland. They really don't seem sinister to me. It is my strong belief that societal synthesis is alive and well. Capitalism->Socialism->something better

Oh, umm as a different perspective? I am not sure if that infers I was inferring that it was sinister?

In fact I just omitted points similar to what you made regards the demographic. It is all about bums on seats and the westernisation of China has meant there is a huge market if you include it.

So, my point was that there is a very large increase in Chinafacation of films. I see it first hand, not just Chinese initiated films, The Crouching Tiger part 2 was Weinstein produced but had a large Chinese shooting unit and cast. But further to that would be say one we made last year, The Meg, in which it is set in the China sea and hugely backed by Chinese money. Or one which we were due to make but is on the back burner now until next June, a live action remake of Mulan.

So if anything, I am noting the very large ramp up of this. I have been in the industry for 20 years, so am just pointing out how I have nothed there has been a change in direction. If I was to speculate on any wildcard is that maybe Chinese production groups are liking the idea of knocking someone like Weinstein off his perch a bit... but that would be wild speculation.

Fist of Fury with Bruce Lee, was the first Chinese boxing film released in Holland somewhere around 1975. Actually it still is one of the best films in that genre, and I've seen a lot of them in my 'karate years'

"Enter the Dragon" is the all time best.

I think two of the most arresting films I've seen in the arena of cinematography are the "House of Daggers" and "The Hero"

As a point of fact, 7-11. Inc. was once an ice house in Texas, owned by Lady Bird Johnson (around 1927). It transformed into Southland Corporation, then went so close to bankruptcy it was forced to change again, just to stay in business. Today it is 75% owned by the Japanese. In Japan alone, there are 11,000 7-11 stores. (Must be one on almost every street corner, considering the small landmass which Japan is. In American currently, there are 8,814 7-11 locations. Somewhere in the ideas running around (trending?) in TOT, is the idea that governments are corporations. Could be. Consider this: Why are so many government titles what they are? Examples; Postmaster-GENERAL; Surgeon GENERAL; Attorney-GENERAL, etc. Another term for the US President is Chief Executive (O) (CEO--Chief Executive Officer). Are these NOT related? I hardly think they're not.
