    Kapow! That's a biggun.

Are you sure the 'weres' desires are the main factor with the sun? I don't feel like they have/had that much power.

Back when, potentials of many kinds for suffering and misery, Earth hits from the Sun more likely if consciousness did not rise imo.

It is said that jupitor shot a beam or some such that bought about Maldeks destruction, feel the sun will not nowadays direct cme,s etc towards Earth as the law of averages says it already needed to happen some time ago.

Do you think that if we do get hit, that more than likely the grid will go down on only part of the planet, or can the whole earth be affected by only one CME?

My thoughts, it hits one side. It doesn't go around and impact the other side. Any effects on the other side would be secondary, I would think.

A tsunami that hits the west coast would indirectly affect the east coast due to the economic effects. I think the same principle applies.

I think it depends on the strength of the flare. I've seen simulations where the entire world grid is affected.

There is a fair amount of debate on this. I read one article that many personal devices, iPhones, iPads, and comperable devices from non-Apple companies are so anti-static charge "proofed" that an EMP "hit" may not effect them. So even if a national electric grid falls, many or most of such devices will continue to operate. A solar array with battery back-up separated from the grid may survive such.

Now, if you've read some of the SF novels out there:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inconstant_Moon

perhaps higher strength sun flares can kill off folks directly.

BTW, Blue Chicken CG's latest report has the energy absorbing "blue orbs" now becoming so transparent that they are almost to the point of becoming "shut down." So perhaps everyone has their rollercoaster ticket punched for the coming "attraction(s)"

    Here is a question.
If the earth is owned by a group of offworlders who possess massively advanced technology, say in the neighborhood of this ship seen refueling at the sun.

Wouldn't these same property owners place certain protections to insure such a random event did not kill off their livestock?

Cattle and sheep learn who their owners are. They know that there is food and refuge to be gained from their herders or wranglers. Pigs know they're in styes and I've heard that they're quite smart, don't like being caged and that is, in part, while they'll attack a person who falls in.

We don't know our herders, wranglers. Who are they?

    I'm not in a herd. I'm a wild Mustang.

Such is the mastery of those who consider you/us livestock.

Well, if the owners of the Georgia Guidestones are in charge, zapping 90%+ of you "useless eaters" may be in order.

Hey, chill out. Remember you are immortal...enjoy the fireworks and just remember to head toward the correct colored light if you are a Chris Thomas Koolaid drinker.

Well, if you routinely work inside of "the fence" and feed the pigs, you'll be ok. BTW, small fenced areas creates stress. Large fenced areas much, much less so.

Same principal works in human "fenced" areas too; stress is high in LA, much less to none in small town, USA. LA drivers will eat you alive. Podunk could care less.

The living energy of Earth prevents a kill shot, so to speak. We killed Mars a long, long time ago.
Sometimes God shines his magic light beam from outer space, and it works in mysterious ways.
