this comes under the topic of 'whatever' ... u asked for it.

I remember watching this movie at a drive-in theater with my dad and my younger brother and older sister. During this scene I exclaimed "Wow, that was cool" or something to that affect. I'll never forget my dad jumping all over my case for saying it. He said there's nothing 'cool' about that. I was properly chastised, but I was still thinking to myself, 'well, i thought it was cool'.

My dad was like that, he always was touchy about my excitability... I guess it really bothered him for some reason ...

Birds one, humans zero...what's not to like? I think it's kind of cool when the natural world rebels in some way! Particularly circus elephants. There used to be some great videos of elephants going berserkers under the big top, which greatly appealed to me. And I confess I have mixed feelings about video showing animal trainers being killed by killer whales.

I am filled with compassion and sorrow for the human being thrown around but understand well the animal's rage at being kept in captivity.

As I used to live smack dab in the center of killer whale territory and have witnessed whole pods breaching while they hunt, some as close as 50 feet away, I have a special feeling for the beauty, wildness, intelligence of these animals. Also, their sense of "fun" some of which unfortunately can involve terrible a use of smaller marine mammals.

The name "killer whale" is a misnomer, by the way ─ and likewise in the case of the "false killer whale", so named because it's entirely black. Orcas are not whales; they are actually the currently largest living species of dolphins.

Some years ago I watched a very captivating story, in a dour sort of way, that began with this emergency call, "The black fish just ate its trainer" or something like that, it was pretty eerie really.

Imagine yourself floating freely in a clear, tropical ocean. Through this liquid universe moves Earth’s largest, most majestic and graceful creatures. You are immersed in the mystical blue world of humpback whales, sperm whales, and blue whales.
