Aianawa - No worries Mate. Hope there's a smile on your dial.

Alternate response but not one I would generally make because I don't swear.

No wuckers Mate. Geez - rattle your dags and visit soon ...

    Much Peace - Amanda

From my experience with "real Ozzies," if it really is Ozzie swearing, every other sentence has to have the "c" word in it.

Dumpster Diver - Not all Australians swear and use the c word. That has been explained to me by professionals as a signpost for a person who may be psychopathic/narcissistic. They will swear as a sign of disrespect. Another theory is this; People who swear a lot - particularly the f word and the c word - have a limited vocabulary. They quite simply have been failed by the education system, where they were not taught to expand their vocabulary.

Think of it in terms of a proper educational setting - perhaps a university lecturer addressing a class of Students. The lecturer would never use swearing during a lecture and swearing included in a university assignment or any assignment/homework would never be acceptable. That is why I mention the two philosophical modes of thought above ....

No wucckers (spelling is optional) is a morphed form of the f word. I personally cannot stand the c word I think it is vile.

    Much Respect - Amanda

That's some kind of elitist thinking eh?

(ok, I don't swear like a salor, I swear like an enlisted army man (maybe worse?), because I am).

Well, one Ozzie partner has a Masters in Operations Research, my other partner a Masters in Accounting and computation. That's where I got "me Ozzie dialect."

I have to ask, have you been around many "educated" male Ozzies?

Okay okay okay - I surrender. I am commenting based on my life experiences. I can accept the fact that educated people swear. I am not judging anyone - please know that comment from me is sincere.

Maybe it is because I do not swear. On the extremely rare time I may let something akin to swearing slip out of my mouth - friends usually have that dropped jaw/stunned look on their face.

Sorry, I was really sort of amazed that an Aussie Lady seemed to not see Aussie blokes clearly. Especially hanging out with them in pubs. I'm not trying to make you feel bad but was sort of wondering, for a while, if you were really Australian.

Apologies if I offended. I don't trust much on the interweb.

And that "constant change" is Divinely Provided, that we may Know a Divine Being exists. (The Eternally Unchanging is constantly changing.)

Just "ribbing" you a bit, I honestly didn't read those statements as authentically yours, that's why I called it out (you even heavily couched them while writing it, felt like you weren't very sure if you agreed with them or not).

But then, text is a terrible way to communicate and I probably just projected all kinds of things on your writing

My husband would have your back on this 100%, Amanda. I, too, find the 'c' word vile.

Robin Williams was on "Inside the Actors Studio" and the host would often ask his guests what are their most favorite and most hated words. Robin answered that he hated the 'c' word and that his favorite word is 'pussy'.

No one has asked me to interpret the Australian term: Rattle your dags. Hmmm.... Does that mean everyone already knows what that term means??? I thought it would be a tricky one. I will think of a more challenging Aussie term. Let me think on it for awhile.

The above term: Rattle your dags - really proves that I am indeed an Australian TargeT. It is a term that I doubt very much would be heard let alone used anywhere else in the world. I don't do the pub scene. I will have a meal with friends at a public bar. I am not one to frequent pubs but please don't think I am a complete prude. My life has been destroyed on every level since reporting Child Abuse so financially I really cannot afford to socialise at all. I go without to keep my internet connection and in all reality - my interactions online are a major source of staying connected to people.

Dreamtimer - Thanks for letting me know I am not the only one who thinks the c word is vile. I recall when I first (attempted) performing stand up comedy, many years ago - when thinking about how I would present my material, I thought to myself I will not swear. I don't swear in my private life but I thought to myself, as a theatrical dynamic by not swearing it would help people remember my act. Make me stand out ... that mode of thinking. It seemed that every comedienne/comedian used swearing at some point in their act. I tended towards innuendo and people still got the joke and laughed.

    Much Respect - Amanda

    Rattle your dags
This means "Hurry up". And I only know this because of my special dictionary.

I assumed it had something to do with feet, and getting them moving... seemed pretty strait forward

I didn't doubt your Australian authenticity, I doubted your commitment to the feeling that people who swear are all stupid.
