For some strange reason this has become an internet meme and it keeps being repeated by people who don't understand the data. I don't know why this has suddenly become a 'thing'! It's almost like the Flat Earth stuff suddenly appearing out of nowhere.

The fact is the space between the earth's surface and the ionosphere is fixed (with some slight daily variations of ionosphere height) and the very wide-band electromagnetic radiation from the world's thunderstorms resonate this cavity at about 7.8 Hz plus harmonics. So unless the earth shrinks, the resonant frequency simply can't increase. None of the charts presented show the parallel lines of the resonance and harmonics shifting. The white bands are just strong local signals from storms or badly suppressed nearby electrical/electronic devices. (There are three charts doing the rounds on this, all representing different things. I can explain each one if necessary.)

The best place for a description of the Schumann resonance is Wikipedia here. It's not the only source, but it is clearly written and as accurate as any book I have with this described.

There are some forum members who have also tried to point this out - TargeT in particular.

The problem is people interpreting data to create a narrative that some find exciting because, ya know, ascension and things like that.

Unfortunately that link is drawing all the erroneous conclusions other sources are making with the 120 stuff.

Can anyone explain why this Schumann data misinterpretation has suddenly gained so much traction? Is it just people want to believe in something comfortable but don't want the facts to spoil that?

Very odd for a logical thinker.

I made a short vid from what Modwiz said on this matter... because he articulated it very well.

Good work modwiz, Elen and TargeT. That seems to have nailed it and got all the facts right, but as you say modwiz, the misinformation/misinterpretation is now out there - running about!

I get a really good feeling from the cohesion and group efforts that are showing up.

Feel am getting it though, frequency remains around 7.8, amplitude spikes

haha, almost,, but no, its more confusing than that...

I posted this on the youtube video to a commenter, i think it works here too:

I'm not a musician so resonance and harmonics aren't the most solid concepts in my mind; but here's my take on clarifying it a bit more:

The base resonance of 7.8 (and the strongest) the one that actually demonstrably effects humans (or rather, the lack of the resonance effects them) is the 7.8hz resonance; which is also the the strongest. Other harmonics of 7.8 will also exist at the same time.. it's like dropping a rock in a pond, the first wave is defiantly prominent, in fact if you were to describe the event at a low enough resolution perhaps all you would see is that first wave, but there are other waves behind it at generally predictable intervals and decreasing in intensity as they go farther from the initial impact wave. The first wave is the spike in amplitude, it distorts a bit too because its so strong, the other waves show the "frequency" (the distance between the waves) and it's a set number for the most part (this is also sort of what happens when lighting strikes.. the amplitude spike is huge, but very loclized.. then the earth/ionosphere cavity resonates, where you measure is really important).

it also should be mentioned that these spikes in amplitude are very short in duration, by far the most common, easily measurable wave is at 7.8ish... and that, has not changed; nor will it until either the size of the earth changes or the size of the atmosphere (or both, as long as it's not proportional) .

    NO!

all it says is that the relationship between our earths crust and the ionosphere has not changed.

all the rest is stuff (ascension et al)lumped on by WooWoo dealers, this is really a simple thing once the concept makes sense (took me quite a while, learning about music and fluid dynamics helped a bit).

Current frequency is good as it is. Our potential has not yet been met and the amplitude should help.

in my experience a nudge goes quite a bit further than a sudden shift.... a subtle nudge is the best guide when viewed purely from a standpoint of outcome.

    Although, in respect of duality...

A firm slap does a damn fine job at times too... the trick is to tell when and where (horses help, I've got 31 teachers now).

So .. I've just wasted your time, your welcome.

The science says what it says and that's all.

Science doesn't prove or disprove anything with regards to spiritual matters. It can't measure them. Science doesn't prove or disprove God. Science doesn't address the existence of God or matters of faith.

Personal experience and sharing it with others is where that comes from. Gathering together, prayer, meditation, etc.

The only use science has is measuring the effects of the experiences, if you want to do that.

How true Dreamtimer...a spiritual experience is very personal/subjective and can never be objective in any shape or form. How true
