Thank you. I tried a few times to read it but couldn't figure out the first one.

Don't rush it. Better to not have more than to get a bad one.

Finished the mongoose cage, well, at least enough to move them in

Next I'll finish the hardware (hinges etc) and maybe add a split level

I'll eventually make a video, but here's a quick shot to show how "chainface" is recovering:

Made a quick video of ChainFace's recovery.. I'm still amazed by the outcome.

And we worked with another horse that had a big abscess with even faster results that were pretty dramatic.

You get to see some of the boys we work with; they named the horse Retardo... haha

Just heard from Governor Kenneth Mapp of St Croix (Virgin Islands) ...
where Target lives with his family and friends ...

President Trump just approved federal disaster aid and monies for there ...
It will be weeks/months till things even will get close to normalcy ...

Keep all there especially in your prayers with best wishes ...

Target and family are ok, and all their horses survived. They lost several solar panels from their roof.

Clearly that title wasn't written by someone who lives on the south west end of the island... we got the worst of maria for sure.

    How is this escaping anything:

I live in the bottom left corner of the island, about where the eye of the hurricane is touching.

but all is well, we haven't had power since before Irma so this didn't change much (except I have 6 less solar panels and no gutter, plus a crazy amount of landscaping that needs done). Hopefully the recovery is super fast.. I'm mostly worried about how to feed the horses as we did that from tourism.

We'll see, it's still sort of surreal at this point.

I've only got internet at work, but bonus: I don't get to go home! (that makes sense right?).

I've got some before and after video, if i can figure out a way to uploaded it I'll post it here.

I think paypal is overwhelmed, I've gotten a couple from people but when i tried it myself it didn't work.. maria hit P.R. pretty hard also, not as hard as where I am, but there's a lot more people affected.

    Thumbs Up

Wow - I see, unfortunately it was hard to gauge from weather reports - most of the attention was focused on Puerto Rico by the MSM ... It's a good thing your part of the rescue authority, you will be up on what's occurring and forthcoming ... Will be hoping this recovery will bring new fixtures and benefits to the islands infrastructure and services ... Please keep us abreast - do take care Target.

They do have a significantly larger population, I get why the focus is there. It was so much worse here on my corner of the island, but only the west side really, other parts of the island got light to moderate damage.. it could have been worse.

Who knows what it will bring, but I'm working in the same building as every other federal agency and there's a lot of assets here already; unfortunately a lot of chaos and counter-intuitive ideas as well.. .for example today they lifted the curfew from 12pm to 4pm.. so the entire island (that has absolutely nothing else to do and has been told to stay at home for 3 days strait) got on the roads and went to what ever store opened or gas station and stood inline.. luckily people just got frustrated and nothing boiled over... why it wasn't from 8am to 5pm or even 10am to 6pm.. 4 hours seems like your just asking for trouble when everything gets jammed up.

The roads aren't even fully clear, your driving over downed power lines every 30 feet and under ones that haven't fully fallen yet, it's terrifying to drive at night, the cables appear out of nowhere.

If i ever get some real internet I'll upload a video of what it looks like here.
