Erik makes a pretty stunning statement about the baby boomer generation near the end of this podcast. It's worth a listen.

1st comment: They are discussing 'toxicity' and pharmaceuticals. I don't tend to think that testing lab rats would compromise measures of 'toxicity', after all, we all live in a laboratory that is reasonably similar to a rat's lab. I would be more inclined to think that testing for pharmaceutical efficacy would be enhanced by the 'altered rats', even though in many cases that doesn't prove to be true, but perhaps they are testing wild rats.

I just wanted to add that so i sound really really smart. Now let's see why I'm wrong... I don't really have instincts for hard science, more the social sciences..

It's fascinating, especially after you get past the beginning part.

Daryl Davis, mentioned in the coronavirus thread is a black musician who has attended many KKK rallies and befriended many Klan members. His personal goal was to try to understand why people hated him just because he was black.

An interesting result of his relationships is that many Klan members have left the Klan and given Daryl their robes. He now has a collection of them. And he helped this to happen simply by being friends with people.

Daryl asked one of his friends why he thought blacks were inferior. Part of the answer involved the idea that black men have a latent gene which makes them more likely to commit violence.

Daryl pointed out that almost all lone wolf terrorists and serial killers are white men. Therefore white men must have a latent gene which makes them more likely to be lone wolf terrorists or serial killers.

His friend replied that that was ridiculous. And Daryl pointed out that it wasn't any more ridiculous than his own claim about black men.

This conversation was one which helped his friend begin to reconsider his long-held beliefs.

My husband says a person can have one good idea per day. I reserve the right to have more, if they come.

Joe and Rhonda talked about gum with xylitol and Joe recommended to her to try neurogum, for brain health.

    Has anyone ever tried it?

Rogan endorses Trump by the way.
All the above is all and only my opinion. It may contain some sharing of components of my current operating strategy and some foundational components of my current world view - all subject to change and not meant to be true for anyone else regardless of how I phrase it.
