and i can't wait... not cultivating hemp is a travesty...

i saw a vid where they shot an 8', 2x4 out of a gun at...

first, a 4x8 sheet of plywood at about 20 paces. it didn't ID the species of wood in the plywood but it was of CDX grade in a 1/2" thickness... off the shelf stuff... what we used gazillions of sheets of in construction, both commercial and residential... used... until OSB came along cheaper... i'm talkin' real plywood used in this test which is 4x8 layers laminated together via a combo of heat, press, and glued... not OSB (oriental strand board) which is a whole bunch of pieces or chips or... strands... layered and glued together...

the 2x4 hit the plywood and the plywood exploded into fragments...

then they shot an 8' 2x4 at a piece of plywood made from hemp... the 2x4 exploded into fragments while the hemp ply remained intact...

    magic i tell ya...

Now and then I'll get a dollar bill stamped with a quote coming out of Washington's mouth: "I grew Hemp."

No doubt the cotton industry played a role in the demonization of hemp. I don't recall the history. It's the best for canvases and rope.

could be... not to mention what became big ag came prancin' in the door... while there's really no comparison...

On an annual basis, 1 acre of hemp will produce as much fiber as 2 to 3 acres of cotton. Hemp fiber is stronger and softer than cotton, lasts twice as long as cotton, and will not mildew.

Cotton grows only in moderate climates and requires more water than hemp; but hemp is frost tolerant, requires only moderate amounts of water, and grows in all 50 states. Cotton requires large quantities of pesticides and herbicides--50% of the world's pesticides/herbicides are used in the production of cotton. Hemp requires no pesticides, no herbicides, and only moderate amounts of fertilizer.

Industrial hemp was once a dominant crop on the American landscape. This hardy and renewable resource (one of the earliest domesticated plants known, with roots dating back to the Neolothic Age in China) was refined for various industrial applications, including paper, textiles, and cordage.

Over time, the use of industrial hemp has evolved into an even greater variety of products, including health foods, organic body care, clothing, construction materials, biofuels, plastic composites and more (according to one source, more than 25,000 products can be made from hemp).

At 1:48 Johann talks about the drug war being forced onto Mexico and it's utter failure.

An example of how we force our values and programs down peoples' throats and it fails miserably.

I wonder why the first thing you thought of Aianawa, was Trump investing in hemp? Why did that come to mind?

Trump is about big things which he can put his name on. Buildings, walls, something people see when they come into town, or the country.

What can be built from hemp that Trump would like?

We know from his business experience that he's not about long-term investments. He's the king of bankruptcy, as he says. And even if his businesses went down he still got paid. That was always in his contracts.

So, applying that knowledge, he doesn't care if he leaves the country bankrupt. Which causes me to wonder, how will he get paid even if we fail?

    Who will be paying him?

There won't be much in the way of hemp revenues if the country is going bankrupt again...

I try not to assume a logical flow with Trump. My feeling is that hemp isn't a big thing he can put his name on. Even Trump University had his name all over everything.

Hemp just isn't an avenue for his ego. Even the potential wealth from it isn't enough. He needs something showy. Imo.
