Wet People
While hanging laundry to dry this morning, I had a sudden flash of insight into a parallel dimension very close in frequency to ours. The inhabitants are indistinguishable from us here in our dimension, save for what we would consider one very peculiar difference.
See in this one the people don't like to wear dry clothes, they wear their clothes wet. That's right, they like them soaking, dripping, wet... Why they would absolutely *shudder* at the mere thought of slipping on a nice comfy pair of warm and dry jammies, much as we wouldn't dream of putting on cold wet ones.
They do hang their clothes out on a line much the same as we do, only it's a little more complicated. Every house has horse trough looking vats full of gently flowing purified water, and clothes are carefully hung inside of these to stay wet and disentangled. When you're ready for a fresh change of clothes, you simply pull your garments out of the water, put them on, and off you go.
In case you're wondering, there's no need to have worry of evaporation on those occasional nasty sunny and dry days in this wet dimension. Nobody would dare be caught out without a full 1/2 gallon emergency squirt bottle to re-hydrate, much as we use an umbrella to fend off the rain.
Just thought ya'll should know we have neighbors. Next time you step over a puddle or grab a bath towel, think of them
