I've heard a unique story that explains the red coat as the skin of a reindeer and his flight in the sleigh as a shamanic journey.

    Here's a "fun xmas fact":

Good children were given a lump of coal to help them stay warm in the winter. Bad children got only one stocking so they'd have to choose which foot they wanted to keep during the cold winter.

Don't really know if that's true, it's something I heard recently. It is interesting in that it's turned around backwards now. The coal is bad and the stocking is good.

I've seen chocolates packaged as lumps of coal. They're wrapped in black foil and make good stocking stuffers...

Did you eat all your coal Aianawa?

From memory, the drum is made from the tree ( above and below ), the hide the deer ( deer eat the red dot fungi and the shaman collect the urine poison free ), the drumming goes to the circle collective heartbeat or strongest available.

Plenty of coal in this new castle lol.

Until last winter some relatives of mine had a coal-fired stove. They're in their nineties.

Then go to the store and buy a bit more.
The treats that you eat, do make Christmas sweet.
The ones that you share, ahhh now that is what's THERE
IN the spirit of Christmas, as the spirits of care.
Its what we love to give that means that we have lived.

    LIVE

    These rhymes just come,
    The feeling ho hum
    the feeling Hee Hee,
    The FEELING of WE.
Sublime when felt at Christmas or at any time.

    FEEL

    The philosopher Cat,
    He may see Oui, Oui
There is not as much to be
When alone, where Scrooge was at.
That is, where he was Before,
He saw an open grave and so he opened a door.

    OPEN the door to

    The ONE, THE ONE
    When Two or more
    Agree to be ONE
    Now THAT is FUN.
WHEN not holidays survived but Christmas fully gloriously arrived.

    CHRISTMAS!
