I'm sure a lot of rednecks will be happy now that "the dirty commie" has passed away. The Cuban dissidents were already holding a party in Miami as soon as the news came out.

Same thing when FDR lured us into WWII. ("Dirty Japs") OR "This day shall live in Infamy"--BS, political BS!

I wish him no peace. The man was a ruthless dictator and as someone with a lot of Cuban American friends, I find any eulogy to the man pretty disgusting. Maybe I am just on the wrong forum.

Don't know of any Castro fans here. What happens after Raul?

Note - While Raúl is firmly in control, and seemingly in good health, many people inside and outside Cuban wonder what kind of Cuba comes after him. Raúl, 85, has pledged to step down in 2018. His vice president and former minister for higher education, Miguel Mario Díaz-Canel Bermúdez, 56, is expected to fill the presidency. But in the opaque, tightly guarded circles of Cuban politics, it is impossible to know for sure ...

But also knowing the realty of Western influences on unscathed things in general ...
I will predict most probably a new kind of Cuba on steroids say ten years from now ...

Do you think Cuba would have been better off continuing under Batista?

Have been to Havana I have seen the place falling apart seen the u2 spy plane in the middle of Havana and Castro tank
That he drove in the bay of pigs

There are very few new cars in Cuba a handful of new French vechicles most the cars are 1960 era rebuilt cool classic old cars the. Music is cool the beaches are great cartmaran which is truly great .

The bad poverty which was truly shocking I have seen worse in Egypt were a half million people lived in a graveyard amongst the gravestones and no one completed there house always a part of the roof missing as to avoid property taxes poor and there were two types of police one police for Muslim wearing the head scarf and one for the people normal police
