There are quite a few people who think the presidency is a symbolic position. If that is the case, indeed it won't really matter if he is a "man of his word".
I think Russia is happy; they feel he is the best option to reduce tensions in Eastern Europe. I think China is happy with their disputed Island thing. The Europeans, well, they certainly don't want to be nuked but I think Nato wouldn't mind. The EU? They are rather a puzzle to me.
Israel? Well Obama didn't do anything to strengthen ties with them. Maybe things can be recovered and then they will have good relations with both Russia and the US.
Mexico? Economic growth in the US means more exports for them, if Trump can rebuild the economy. Same for Canada.
I think the only real losers in this are Saudi Arabia and their sunni allies with their Clinton Foundation Bet/Tip not working out. <shrug/>
PS maybe I'll invite bsbray to comment here? do you think he would accept an olive branch?
PSS Jon Rappaport says:
PSSS I think another valid question to ask is: How can Trump screw it up more than it already is?...zRAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAP. Boom.
The script has been shattered.
Trump wins.
And now, without pause, it's time to hold his feet to the fire.
Because the people who voted for him expect action...
