This is a Belgian progressive rock band, from the francophone part of the country. This song is from the 1980s, but it still seems very appropriate. ;)

Lying world
Lying world
You never tell the truth
Lying world
You say "can't see the use"
No place
To live a human live
No place
No place to run, no place to hide
Blind world
You never look around you
Blind world
You say "can't see the use"
No place
No place to run, no place to hide
You know the way you go
Just called no way out!
You know the way you go
Just called no way out!
Just called no way out!
Just called no way out!
You know the way you go
Just called no way out!
You know the way you go
Just called no way out!
Just called no way out!
Just called no way out!
Lying world
Lying world
You play a crooked game
Lying world
You promise joy, you give us pain
No place
To live a human life
No place
No place to run, no place to hide
You know the way you go
Just called no way out!
You know the way you go
Just called no way out!
Just called no way out!
Just called no way out!
You know the way you go
Just called no way out!
You know the way you go
Just called no way out!
Just called no way out!
Just called no way out!
Time again for a bit of Satch... ;)
Satriani, I love that guy...jazzin' it up. He's scheduled to appear in Austin sometime soon...I wish I wasn't too lazy to get out...only free time is on weekends and I owe that to my daughter and her cats in Houston...
Groundation - Everyone Could Lose
From a spinning fireball
Into a people who prosper
That's why I still have this notion
If everyone were true
And if everyone were true, true, true
We'd all be about Jah
That's why I still have this notion
If everyone were true
But everyone could lose
Each and everyone could lose
But I man still have this notion
If everyone were true
Think of all you could be
All the possibilities
Some of them still have this notion
That everyone could choose
And if everyone could choose, choose, choose
We'd all be about Jah
Oh I man still have this notion
If everyone were true
But everyone could lose
Each and everyone could lose!
But I man still have this notion
If everyone were true

Groundation - Fourth Dimension
If they should laugh at you be strong
They'll bomb the heavens and they'll blame us
They will despise us as a Juden
I can't believe them are the fourth dimension
I can't believe this is the fourth dimension
Oh, why can't we be strong?
Man a chant so loud a call to Jah
Them carry the soul of the oppressor
I can't believe them are the fourth dimension
I can't believe this is the fourth dimension
And if we were wrong Oh let them hail Jah for all time
Hail Jah for the love, oh Lord
Hail Jah for the light, yes, yes
I hail, hail, hail, Jah, Jah, for, for, the light
If they should laugh at you be strong
They chant so loud man "survival"
I pray to God, the Messiah
Is not the only one to break them chain, Lord
Can't be the only one to break them chain, Lord
Oh, they lashed them in a Ghana
The man betrayed us in the tribal
They want to fight all dem culture
I can't believe this is the fourth dimension
I can't believe them are the fourth dimension
(..)
If they should laugh at you be strong
No one can change your heart but you Jah
Oh, how blessed they are who find it
Still dem a search inna de fourth dimension
Still dem a look inna the fourth dimension
It has been written in the prayer
They'll bomb the heavens as a call to Jah
Looks like their soldiers might deliver
Nothing to fear, for in my heart I know Jah
Nothing to fear, for in my heart I know Jah
Nothing to fear, for in my heart I know Jah
Groundation - Confusing Situation
Blood a go run, fire a go burn dem down
From the heavens of Zion
Man's got to find a way
Out of this confusing situation, facing confrontation
Some say, "I'm only one man, what can I do?"
Well, Jah has got plenty of work for you
Turn around and then walk away
Sun shall set 'pon another day
But up till now you have led yourself astray
You come off like a confused man
Living in your own dimension
Smoking up your invention
One of dem days you'll beg to find your bread
Come off like a confused man
Living in your own dimension
Smoking up your own invention
One of them days
When you will see the power of Jah word
Oh, yeah
Never control the man, no
What is life, when you ain't got no leader?
What-what-what- what is life when you back up and stumble?
So if you service your heart children
Or you will be forever controlled by another one
Service only your heart, children
Or you will be forever controlled
Marley gone! Marley gone! Marley gone!
But In say no, na na no, na na no
They say Marley gone! Marley gone! Marley gone!
But I say no, na na no, na na no
Ca-ca-come-come-come-come up with your slackness, I say
Come up, come up with your gun lyrics
A lot a talking about nothing, I say
But to think positive is something
One man, one man, one man alone will build himself a home
And raise it in the love I say
Though I know when Marley, Marley gone we felt so alone
Like the sun would never shine again
Oh, but as sure as the sun a shine
We'll find it in our time
Come off like a confused man
Living in your own dimension
Ignoring the Father's direction
One of dem days you'll beg to find your bread
Come off like a confused man
Forever in your own dimension
Ignoring the Father's direction
One of them days
You'll see the light which is Zion
Ah, yes
You wil never control dem, I know
You can hear them crying in the wilderness
Oh, the children are wandering, saying
Oh Marley gone, but he's not forgotten
Oh Marley gone, but he's in our souls
Oh Marley gone... never gone
Oh Marley gone, a you can hear him singing in the wilderness, I say
Oh Marley gone, oh but he's not forgotten
For he's in our soul (oh Marley gone)
He's in our soul, Jah know, he's in our soul
He's in our soul (oh Marley gone)
He's in our soul, he's in our soul, I know
Yes, he's in our soul... (oh Marley gone)
Oh Marley gone.

I say the same owner of the lyrics of Bob Marley.
I saw him live in Antwerp in February 1993 — actually, exactly 25 years ago on this very day — when he was touring to promote his "The Extremist" album. I don't know who the keyboard player was — there was no rhythm guitarist — but he had the Bisonette brothers with him on drums and bass. ;)
Yabbut, where eez da video, maan? You been smokin' too much ganja, ayah? :p
Videos left out on purpose.
Sorry, lots of people seem to find themselves saying that sort of thing about music with the reggae label. That's one of the main ways to discredit the message. So although I know that's a joke, I'm a little dismayed lol.
And no, I haven't been smoking any 'ganja', let alone too much.
Just for kicks...

Right away I thought it was Johnny Weir in the video.
He was flamboyant as a skater and is even more so now.

As a teenager, Steve Vai took guitar lessons from Joe Satriani, and at the age of 19, he was already touring and recording with Frank Zappa & The Mothers Of Invention, where he was playing the guitar solos which Frank Zappa himself found — quote — "impossible to play".
After Zappa, he was recruited into Alcatrazz — where he had to walk in the footprints left by Swedish shredder Yngwie J. Malmsteen — and then later on he toured with David Lee Roth, who had just left Van Halen to embark on a solo career.
Then Vai joined Whitesnake, while at the same time also recording his first and award-winning album "Passion & Warfare", and in the 1980s he also scored a minor role as a guitarist who worked for the devil, in the musical road movie "Crossroads". Both the guitar parts played by Vai's character Jack Butler and by Eugene (Ralph Macchio) during the epic guitar dual at the end of the movie — which includes a classical piece for violin by Paganini — were actually played by Vai himself. ;)
