Why did they cut off his music? He was good.
Maybe Napoleon was watching this video.

It'd be good for exercise.
If I could dance like that I would have been a dancing fool ... :)
Time for a 'poor me' story: When I was very young I was dancing ... feelin' the music and my older brother told me to quit because I looked like a 'joto'. Later I was in a dance play in grammar school and this friend of mine said I ruined the whole performance because I wasn't 'dancing'. In my mind I was keeping pace with everybody else in the performance. It seemed to 'slow' for my pace of movement. And the rest is more history. :)
and who knows maybe I could... :)
My Dad just loved to dance. He did it all his life. And he really had trouble feeling the beat and moving in time to the music. My mom was a saint. She studied music and sang so she always knew how off he was. She loved to dance with him anyway.
My mother used to like dancing unlike my father. I don't think I would know how to dance properly. :D

Re Evolution of Dance:
What a feeling! at 2:17. Lovin' the leotards.
Best Gangham style I've seen.
Wait, girls?
No pole dancing on the Old Town road...:(
Those guys are really good. Lots of fun.
Sweet ... My dad (adoptive version) was a Narcissist I think. He was considered pretty handsome, he sang and worked to his own music. Loved to do dancing performances ... that kind of thing. One of the reasons I always knew I was adopted ... :) ... People have told me I have nice 'moves' but it was always in the most ridiculous of contexts. It surely wasn't because I wanted to show myself off.
Dancing with my nephew, he took me off guard and started dancing ... he really is good. Once I was told that I moved into bases during a game like a ballerina... all very silly stuff. I had no trouble believing it though :), I still have this mental glitch that won't let me 'let my guard down'. Though I have a time or two, kind of like flying on airlines. :)
I think body suits are coming back into fashion. I saw a young lady in one outside the ball game at Camden Yards.
I saw another body suit in New Hope, PA.
No one will be seeing me in one...
Mikhail Baryshnikov IS the most technically impressive dancer I've ever seen. He made Gregory Hines a noted dancer look amateurish:

Amateurish? Hmmm. I'd say Mikhail looks like a ballet dancer doing a different kind of dance. I can't recall a time when Hines looked amateurish. But your mileage may vary. ;)
:D All true but look at Baryshnikov's center of balance and leg and arm positions when landing moves. And his body posture during the moves. I sort of exaggerated Hines level/lack of expertise ... When watching this time he seemed very quick (good) but lacked the same level of precision. Just my opinion of course.
You're right, but Hines is dancing jazzy. Baryshnikov's entire career involved leaping eight feet in the air and spinning forever. Anyway, Hines did the second spin at the end better. :p
I'm just busting on you. The dance isn't perfectly in sync. They may not have been able to practice together much, I don't know. But it's a movie scene, so it may be intentionally imperfect for the plot. It's been a long time. I saw the film, but don't recall well the movie or facts about it.
Ever heard of this guy? Can't remember whatshisname. He had pretty smooth moves right there!

Can't really get more 80's than this. Jennifer Beals is still youthful and beautiful while nearing her 60's.
