Whistling is a very appropriate metaphor for our times.
I asked my parents today about him and played a couple of songs which they knew to my surprise and instantly recognized him by his voice. They said that they haven't heard his songs since the 70's though, I guess the radio stations stopped playing his songs here. :)
I admire a talented whistler. I can barely whistle five notes in a scale. I recall learning to whistle as a kid but I just never got any better. Some folks can't carry a tune. Some can't whistle one...
Roger sounds like a bird. He uses his tongue to great effect. Trills. Wow.
I do and I never take it for granted. I'm thankful for the fact that I'm close to my parents, my mother is the best and kindest person I've ever known and my family relationship has always been a good one, that's why family matters so much to me. There aren't really other people in my life besides that right now, except for my older brothers but I don't get to see them much anymore as they have their own lives.

The latest from the frozen north................
the cinematography in the video is mesmerizing. There is something about the hard edge of the far north that invokes a sense of awe in me that people actually live and perhaps thrive in that kind of environment. I don't think that even the Neanderthals could pull that one off. It's simply amazing to me.
am going to try to embed video properly
